    That's an amazing accomplishment Bakon!
  3. Aww Marti, I am so proud of you! Congrats on your one-year quit. You are fantastic. <3
  4. I made some lemon garlic chicken tonight. :)
  5. It's another NOPE day for me!
  6. Thank you Chrys! :)
  7. Homemade chili tonight using ground pork, bacon, chickpeas/kidney beans/black beans, carrots, crushed tomatoes, garlic, onion, and some seasonings. We enjoyed it with some roasted garlic bread. :)
  8. Thanks for the support guys. :) Has anyone ever injured their hip doing exercises?
  9. Guess the meal!
  10. Thanks Tracey! xx I will try that. I will do a modified version of the challenge. :)
  11. Is there an easier challenge I can do with you guys? Lol, I am so embarrassed. That's why I haven't been posting in here.
  12. I can't do it Babs. I tried doing a plank on Friday and really hurt myself. :( My hip is so sore -- I don't know what I did to myself. Dammit.
  13. Lol, the beans! :) I like this game.
  14. Chicken chili?
  15. Both dishes look delicious Petra!
  16. Aw, thank you! I was so worried I was going to screw up the peanut sauce, but we both really liked it. :D Phew. If you lived closer, I'd just send you some cookies, lol. I love baking, but don't do enough of it!
  17. Thanks for your review Chrys! :D Yeah, the smell of balsamic vinegar can really throw a person off, but like you said, it's actually mild. This is my dinner for the last two nights. Yesterday, I made chicken stir-fry with homemade peanut sauce. First time making it and it was a hit! Steve was in love: Tonight, I made chicken meatloaf using Colleen's recipe. I made my own sauce because we didn't have any ketchup on hand. Turns out, the sauce wasn't needed. Both of us thought the meatloaf on its own had enough flavours. I made a hot couscous salad and steamed some green beans, yellow beans, and carrots. The veggies aren't shown because I was hungry, lol: We are going to pick up my little brother tomorrow. He has agreed to help us move. In return, I'm making him and my dad some baked goods. I started with these oatmeal/walnut/raisin cookies and thought I'd share. :)
  18. I might join as well. I haven't done sit-ups in years, so I'm a bit worried, lol. But i haven't been to the gym in a while because I'm moving, so I think I need some workouts to do when I have the time. I'll give this a go, I think. Sarge is definitely right about food. When I tried losing weight before, I worked out all the time, but ate crap food (huge portions as well!). I only lost 19 pounds; this time around, I'm almost 50 pounds down. I changed my diet and attitude towards eating. :)
  19. Not that I'm speaking from experience, but you can see balls while still being a virgin. :P Just sayin', lol.
  20. Smoking is not an option! A kazillion NOPEs from me. :)
  21. I'm going to have to try that balsamic chicken at some point. Looks pretty tasty indeed!
  22. Oh my word, both look heavenly! Tonight I'm making tacos with ground chicken. I'm sure they won't look nearly as good as your stuff Scott, but I'll definitely post a picture if I remember!
  23. That stinks. I have nothing to add that hasn't already been said, but good for you for jumping back on the train. I'm unemployed having just finished a college program in December, so I understand the frustration all too well. But you have to keep telling yourself smoking isn't going to fix your problems. Even when I was a smoker, I couldn't get a job for over a year and was just as frustrated as I am now, so clearly smoking isn't the answer.
  24. I may try this tomorrow! I love a good meatloaf. :)
  25. Colleen, I love your comfort food pictures. I voted for roasted potatoes, but honestly, I probably would have made both, hehe.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
