  1. It's going to be a NOPE day for me as well. :)
  2. Doreen, my heart breaks for you. I know how much you and Tony have been through. Hugs. I am thankful that you share your stories with us, as they always pack a powerful punch. I witnessed the suffering my uncle endured with COPD and emphysema. it is a terrible way to live.
  3. Food, especially cheese. Chocolate. Shoes. Polka dots. Stationery. I hoard papers, pens, markers, pencils, pencil crayons, etc. It's a serious addiction. Nail polish.
  4. Definitely a big NOPE for me! To be honest, smoking would just ruin my day. :) No thanks.
  5. 5! That's incredible. Great job. :)
  6. Here! I will try to be around more often.
  7. Same to you Beth! :)

    Drinking

Ouch! I hope it heals quickly. Alcohol and pavement usually don't mix well.
  9. Being bored as well. I just woke up from a nap after being awake all night in pain. Ugh. I'm still not fully awake yet, so I haven't figured out what I want to do.
  10. Hell NOPE!
  11. Food I had the last couple of days. I made a grilled portobello salad for lunch yesterday and Steve made baked chicken, potatoes, and steamed green/yellow beans for dinner. I made a steak salad for lunch today:

    Went to Ikea

IKEA is a great place to get stuff! :)
  13. *Drool* I made minestrone soup for dinner tonight because it's still cold here (gr!). My splurge for the night. Chocolate pecan pie. Oh so good!
  14. That sounds so good!
  15. Almond butter, coconut oil, and almond milk. I am trying to add more spinach and kale into my life, but they both do weird things to my digestive system. I don't know what's up with that!
  16. Lunch and dinner today. I made a chicken salad concoction for lunch. The dressing is made from the juice of grapes, lemons, and limes. I made lemon-garlic chicken for dinner and potatoes/carrots as sides. I love my crockpot. :) \
  17. Welcome to QT Joy! We are happy to have you here. :D Stay close to the boards and post as often as you'd like. :) Keep reading and educating yourself. Congrats on your first day as a non-smoker!
  18. Aw, colds are terrible. :( Everything that I was going to recommend has already been said. I hope you feel better soon! Oh, and thumbs up to the hot toddy recommendation. My mom used to make them for me whenever I was sick and they helped a lot.

    Jenny

Yeah, I'm oblivious, lol. Is she changing her avatar or something?
  20. Times sure have changed, haven't they? (For the better obviously) I remember smoking being pretty glorified when I was a kid, but nothing like this.
  21. Sarah, that dress is lovely! I agree with Marti though -- it's always nice to receive compliments. :) A compliment can really alter my mood.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
