  1. Thank you Ria! :D It's amazing to see the difference. I look so miserable (and felt so miserable) in my before picture. I definitely feel a lot better. I don't feel sluggish anymore; I have much more energy! I exercise and don't get winded quickly. It's an amazing feeling. :)
  2. Hi everyone: I know I don't post much anymore, but I'm hoping to change that! I've been going through a lot with my health, weight, and life in general lately. I've had a lot of ups and downs and have been battling depression. In late June, I was diagnosed with insulin resistance and Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. My testosterone levels are much higher than my estrogen levels, which has caused a lot of problems for me. I will probably need fertility drugs to get pregnant and losing weight will forever be a struggle for me. Now for the good news: This week, I stepped on the scales and am down another two pounds, bringing my total weight loss to 75 pounds since the end of October 2014. I still have a long way to go and I don't really notice much a different except I feel wonderful. I am no longer out of breath when I walk upstairs and my ankles don't swell. I have been taking progress pictures and can finally see the difference. I thought I would share one with everyone. :) Before: November 2014 After: July 2015
  3. Dinner tonight. :) Snap peas, mashed cauliflower, and grilled chicken.
  4. I LOVE this post. Thank you for sharing and congrats on everything you have done and continue to do! :) Extremely proud of you babs and I definitely look up to you for inspiration!
  5. Yummy! I will have to try that.
  6. My weight fluctuates like crazy. I lose, gain, lose, gain. It's just a vicious circle. In October, I was diagnosed with severe sleep apnea. That's when I decided I needed to really lose the weight. I changed my eating habits and have been working out a lot. Before, I was just exercising, which is useless if you're still eating crap. I have been thinking about making my own post so I can stop taking over someone else's thread, lol. Sorry TEW!
  7. Aaaaand this is why I don't take pills very often. I already knew that NSAIDs can destroy your stomach. It's sad that something that is supposed to make you feel better can actually lead to even more serious health complications..
  8. Thanks CPK! I'm a mix of Irish and Scottish, so I understand where you are coming from. I have had so many issues with my body, but it looks like I can control it! That's reassuring. I thought I was just doomed to be big for the rest of my life.
  9. How about NOPE?
  10. Thanks CPK! I just stepped on the scale this morning and am down a total of 70 pounds since October 2014. :D
  11. 1. Unemployed :(. But looking! 2, Doodling. 3. Human Resources. 4. College certificate in Human Resources Management/degree in Print Journalism. 5. Engineering. 6. To work for a company that doesn't just treat me like a number. 7. I have white eyelashes on one eye due to vitiligo (depigmentation of skin/Michael Jackson skin disorder)
  12. I can't tell you how many times I relapsed by telling myself: "Oh, I'm sure I can have just one." All lies!
  13. My heart breaks for you and your family Tracey. I didn't know what happened, but I knew you lost your sister not too long ago. I'm glad you were able to find some answers and get some closure though. Thank you for sharing, as this is a strong message. Big hugs. <3
  14. I have been trying to eat more fish lately due to diet restrictions. Basa fillets, tomatoes, mushrooms.
  15. Hahaha, no, sorry! I just haven't been around much. I still take pictures of my food because I'm obsessed. :P
  16. Unfortunately my dinner isn't super impressive tonight. Pork chops, steamed carrots/peas, and zucchini:
  17. Yeah, insulin resistant often precedes Type 2 diabetes. My body basically hates me. It is very easy for me to gain weight, and very difficult for me to lose weight. As a result of me eating a low carb diet and being on Metformin, I have lost 9 pounds in about 7 day. I am pretty stoked at the weight loss so far! And TEW, awesome job! I really commend you for your commitment to your sugar detox.
  18. Sorry I am late, but Happy Birthday! :)
  19. I use wine a lot as a "coping" mechanism. I recently stopped drinking it as much due to diet restrictions. I figure it probably wasn't good for me to have a glass of wine or two a night anyway. Good for you CPK!
  20. Hell NOPE!
  21. Thank you!
  22. Eep, Happy Birthday Ross! Hope you had an awesome day. :D
