  7. Hi Carol and welcome on board and congrats on making the best decision ever, quitting the cigs, all our quits are as unique as we are , stay close to the board and read as much as you can and educate yourself on the addiction, you will come to realise that you don't need the nicotine, and quitting isn't as scary as you first thought it was, I have found the wonderful people here so helpful in establishing my quit and knowing that I was never alone in my emotions on this journey so post as often as you can, I have no experience on quitting with E cigs but I have a friend who quit smoking over a year ago and is still using E cigs so please be aware they can be as addictive x

  13. Juan you have to believe in your quit, take it a day a time if you need too, the only way you will fail is if you allow yourself too, but if you feel any doubt at all, you come here and you post and you read the replies, thats what got me through all the early days, coming here and reading, reading and educating myself, the crave will not last long, fill your mind with anything except the crave and you will get through it .

  15. Hi Evelyn, just not long back in from work, so sorry you have been struggling today, don't ever apologise for posting an SOS, we are all here for you and will support you through this as much as you need it, have a good cry when you can, I cried alot in the beginning of my quit and still do now if I need to, do you like music? I often find when I am struggling it could be with my quit or just with daily life, I put on some music and dance, sing, move about, do housework to my music and sing at the top of my voice, neighbours might not like it, but it works hang in there Evelyn and please do not light up...

  21. Trish you don't want to smoke do you? your not going to relapse are you? its all part of NOPE, NOT ONE PUFF EVER, as lynn said ask them respectfully to please smoke outside as you want to protect your quit, tell them how important it is for you, keep focused on why you want to quit and I think you will be surprised as how easy it will be not to light up, you are in control of your quit, and the only way you will light up is if you want to. You can do this, enjoy their visit too as thats very important to still enjoy yourself, we got you, just don't doubt yourself Trish you can and you will do this :D
  22. As smokers we dismissed all this, saying it wouldn't happen to us, as Non smokers we can now see the truth and its digusting
  23. Well done Evelyn, one step at a time be strong and proud
  24. Hi Sharon, I suffer from depression and have been taking medication for many years, there is alot of stigma surrounding mental health, but I hold my head up and am not afraid to say I suffer from depression, its not nice and the medication does certainly help, talking about how you are feeling and letting people know when you are low also helps, if you ever ever want to talk Im a pm away, but your doctor will most certainly be supportive I know my GP is, x

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
