Its been a glorious sunny day here in Scotland and have had a lovely day, spring cleaning all the nasty nicotine niffs from my living room, out and about on the bikes, down to the local park, ice cream, weeded the garden. Put out the patio furniture and cleaned it all up, my brother came over and we had a cup of tea outside on the deck chairs. Sun has been shining all day long went shopping, came home had tea, sad down logged on here and just realised I havent had a single thought about smoking today..........Result.............normally when I sit out in the garden with a cup of tea in the deck chair that would be a major cigarette moment, but I really cannot believe there was no thought, or crave to light up............its been a comfortable day today, amazing, The sun has got his hat on hip hip hip horrayyyyy lol feels good :P

Hi Delta so good to see you and to see you are still smokefree that is fantastic :D x

Hi Evelyn you are allowing yourself to relapse because you have done in the past, try approachng this with a different perspective, tell yourself "this time I will not relapse, this time will be my quit that I am going to keep," throw away your cigarettes, lighters, anything that reminds you of smoking, do not allow yourself any space to relapse, you've really got to want to quit Evelyn sweetheart, just saying it will not make it happen unfortunately it is hard and it is difficult and you have to want it more than anything otherwise you will keep going round in circles. we are here and we will support you all we can but we cannot make you stay quit, that is up to you and do you know something I think you can, and so do you.

Hi RowlyD just logged on to see your SOS, how are you doing now? You did the right thing in crushing the cigarette, craves are nasty litte s@@ts when they come but its only a thought remember and if you give that thought space it will grow and grow don't let, do exactly the same thing that you did to the cigarette CRUSH IT.

Oh lordy Haaahah done the dentishhh thingy, tried to light a cigarette on a gas stove too as no lighter or matches and whoooshhhh up went my fringe, loverly Hahaha , also once when I gave blood was told under no circumstances smoke after giving blood, yeah right, passed cold stone out, gives me the shudders just sitting typing it, -

Thanks LadyB for sharing a great post, it is the fear that puts off so many people in the beginning its like facing a bully once you stand up to them you know there was nothing to fear in the first place.
-
Hi Sarah fantastic great to see you got through day one the hardest day of all, and you did it, well done, you will never have to repeat it again, crying is good it releases pent up frustration, you will go through so many emotions, quitting smoking is a roller coaster, so as Ladyb would say buckle up and enjoy the ride, its amazing and you will learn so much about yourself. we are all here to suppt you as much as you need, keep going you can do this x

Awww he is so gorgeous Julie, give him a hug from me. I have a grandson that I never see as my son and his g/f split. Unfortunately she is the devil spawn and we are going to have to go through lawyers to get to see him. You are one lucky Grandmummy Julie treasure each second xx

hahah brilliant just going to add, don't have dogs but both my cats fart and then look evilly at us whilst waiting for smell to hit us full on YUUUKK
-
Hi Amy hope your doing ok, some really great advice above but just want to add that what you were feeling was completely normal, its the nicotine ninja tapping away trying to remind you he is still around, but its just a thought, don't allow it to grow and it will soon disappear, as said if you fixate on it it will become more intense, so loud music please and lets all do the shuffle.................
