  1. Welcome back on board so glad your here, fantastic post and echos the feelings of many of us, grab your one way ticket, don't look back, and the buffet carriage will be opening soon xx
  2. Hi Tiff hope you are feeling a little better now, when the addiction grabs a hold of us and makes us question whether we are doing the right thing by quitting, just remember that you are stronger than the addiction each second that you tell the addiction NOPE is a second won against it, I was stressed out my box at work yesterday and boy would have given my right arm for a cigarette for a few seconds, then I realised the work would still be stressful, I would be even more stressed because I had broken the promise to me and that is NOPE , and after I worked through the crave I felt proud that I hadn't caved in, you can get passed the craves TIff and you will become stronger through them, if you need to reach out and Post and SOS then so be it, you are amongst friends here, people who care about you and who do not want to see you give in. You can do this xx
  3. Thanks for posting Marcus, we always have to be on our guard, I have seen so many people with 3, 4 year quits relapse and really really regret it, as you say guard the quit always, for the addiction never lurks to far away xx

Amy fantastic to see this post, it shows you are still here still wanting to quit, but the damn addiction has taken that hold again, shake it free Amy hunny, you know it doesn't hurt, its just the fear of being without nicotine, but you can survive without it, and you know that you can, you need to close your eyes and let go we are all here ready to catch you, the longer you keep smoking the harder it will be to loosen the grip of the addiction, make a decision Amy my lovely and come back and join us xxx

  21. Every day I see people striding along puffing away on these awful contraptions proudly stating "I quit xyz months ago". I just want to shake them. For instance my future mother in law puffs away on one and tells me I stopped smoking 9 months ago. WTF no you haven't you are still puffing away on a substance that contains Nicotine! I have an odd job man older fella an absolute gem, came to the house today to quote me on some work, puffing away on a vapouriser, I told him I had quit and he proudly puffs himself up and proclaims yes wellI stopped smoking a year ago, (puff puff puff)). Ehhhh come again, then proceeds to ask my son for a cigarette as his wife is out of sight, still saying to me I quit a year ago, haven't had one of these for 5 days. Told him he was delusional. I think he raised my quote :(
  22. we could have a poll to name your tapeworm lol
  23. Evelyn always welcome, we judge no-one here and if it takes a great many falls to get you to your sticky quit then so be it, be strong Evelyn and make this one stick, just get a one way ticket this time and take pride in your journey xx
  24. Your doing great and posting and checking in to our lovely quit train certainly helps. One of the things that keeps my resolve strong is the thought of letting down everyone here, im not placing my quit on anyone's shoulders but using the fact that if everyone here can maintain their quit and have bad days and get through them then so can I. Its been a godsend having somewhere to log on when the crave hits, and to read and to see that I am not alone, it feels good xx

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
