  1. I always hated that exhausted feeling, your body was always sluggish and tired, knew it was down to smoking but always denied it, now yes I still get tired, but its a good tired if you know what I mean, a day spent having fun with my son, a day spent doing the housework, a couple of hours exercising, no more sluggish feelings and that heavy limbed sensation after smoking. Jeeeshh how dumb we were xx
  2. Tiff don't think about it, just go and enjoy the evening with your friends, relax and have fun, if you allow the junkie thinking to take over your head it will have room to grow, don't give it a chance, you are a non smoker and you will not smoke, simples, enjoy your evening Tiff xx
  3. hi and welcome on board the quit train, 5 weeks plus is a fantastic and yip education is the key, re-educating our brains is the way forward, learning to recognise the junkie thinking and acting upon it, for some the journey is a smooth path for a lot of us the journey is full of pit holes and twists and turns but the important thing is we all reach the destination we want and that is our sticky quit. Looking forward to sharing your journey xx

  8. Had a fabulous day at Glasgow Green, soaking up the wonderful atmosphere of the Commenwealth Games, actually stood and participated in a Commenwealth event, Time Trials, I stood there clapping had no idea what I was clapping for but hey I was clapping. Went into a healthier living tent and saw a SMOKERS LUNG , now if you were thinking about quitting or struggling with your quit, seeing a smokers lung beside a healthy lung would make you realise that stopping smoking was a very very very good thing, did you know after quitting smoking every minute you are a non smoker helps your lungs to heal back to full capacity. Everyone there congratulated me on my quit (I think I actually puffed my chest up at this point) I am proud and so glad that today I am a non smoker. It felt amazing and fantastic to be able to say Yes I quit, and I will never be a smoker again.

  11. Aww Susana so pleased today was good for you, it makes it so much better when you smell a smoker and think puewwwww I used to smell like that but guess what I don't any more, the actual smell of nicotine in the early days used to make me gag and crave both at the same time, weird eh , but I can sit with smokers now and it doesn't bother me, 20 days is absolutely awesome you are doing great, believe me when I say it just gets better and better, this non smoking life sure does rock xx

I test myself, its crazy I don't have craves anymore I just allow the thought to enter my head and think what if, playing with fire I know, but I can't stop myself, it only lingers for a second or two but still there, and sometimes get that Whoa feeling in the pit of my stomach as though something major is missing from my life, but hey I don't smoke xx
  16. My son loves Minecraft too, desperately waiting for it to come out on X Box 1, but still plays it on his x box, we have t shirts, key rings, the creeper too DD lol, I would love to know how to make the Loom bands in Minecraft as he is daft on that at the minute as well, his wee pal came over yesterday and made a snake, a turtle, mine had a shot at making the snake and the loom board ended up being thrown across the room ha ha , xx

  20. Aha just what a need for a good whinge, I have been trying and trying to post my pod and Loch Lomond pictures on here like fureva and trying to put funnies on too, but alas to no avail I just can't get them to copy paste or however it works I can't do it, I also have lost the ability to quote from a former post, i'm a failure, I should be in the compost heap of life, I am just computer illiterate. After a good 3 hours (not kidding you) I managed to change my avatar picture, how I don't know, just pure luck by pressing all the buttons on my laptop, think that Is why my son and I are of midget proportion, we are rather small in real life too. Replies to inbox would be good any help much appreciated, please don't overwhelm me on this post as my poor brain would not be able to take it all in. I want a BOOM in your face avatar!!! xx

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
