Wendy well done, you got through the tough few moments and had a lightbulb PING great isn't it, these moments only last a short while in the grander scheme of life, and the good feelings that come after are brilliant, stress will push us to our boundaries and try our patience learning to deal with this without the nasty nicotine is simple, deep breath, take a moment, good thoughts, push away the crave, its allowing the crave to take a deeper root in our mind that is the problem, do not allow it any space, big hugs to you and your son, proud of you Wendy xx

Hi Rowly welcome back to the QT, addiction stinks, but you have to remember that is what you are an addict and at the minute you are allowing the nicotine control over your life, take back the control, when stress hits, before you take a puff, stop and ask yourself would it make you feel better or would it make the addict in you feel better, when someone annoys you and you get that crave its the addiction talking, smoking will eventually kill you surely you are worth more than that, yes its difficult, yes it hurts, yes the craves and the pulls are strong, but you can control all that and get through it, one tiny single step at a time. Nothing more, NOPE one step at a time Rowly, we are all here, we have all felt the craves and pulls, we understand how you are feeling and we are here to help and support you all we can. xx

Hi Wendy so sorry to read you are having a hard time. All these sensations and feelings are normal, please try and remember its the addict brain telling you that smoking will make you feel so much better, when reality is smoking will only make it worse please believe me, I listened to the addict voice of reasoning after a 7 month quit, and let me tell you it makes nothing feel better, your body is adjusting to life without nicotine at the moment, its getting rid of all the poison that was in your system, its cleansing itself and this is a GOOD thing, after all those nasty toxins and poisons have left your body you will begin to feel amazing. Don't listen to anyone telling you negatives, yes we choose to smoke, but we have also made the decision to quit and that is something you should be very very proud of you are doing amazing. Sit down and tell your brain that smoking is not an option, you are taking back control of your life, because you are worth it, the addiction can get to TREACLE it has no place in your life any longer, NOPE every 5, 10 minutes if you need to and before you know it you will realise that you are dealing with the craves, they are not beating you but you are beating them. Who is in control of this quit Wendy YOU ARE not the nicotine.

Just for you Bacon this is me in the flesh xx

Welcome on board Dancer, dwelling on the past is not a good idea, look to the future, see it as a brighter, healthier, happier one for you, mistakes are made, we have to learn from them and take the positives forward with us, relapses happen but the most important thing to remember is you got up, you made the decision to quit and you are here, take each day as it comes with any craves, NOPE is fantastic, I often chant it lol, much to the amusement of my family and work colleagues, looking forward to sharing your journey xx -
I promise not to throw any peanuts at you all, but great to see you "boarding" the train at the same time, Bakon what a fantastic post from you, I love the phrase "we are your people" Sonic, Dancer and Mike, I relapsed after a beautiful 7 month quit not so long ago, and everyone here pulled me back onto the quit train in record time, supported me and helped me get back on track, being prepared when the nicotine demon comes a knocking is something I learnt from the relapse and have taken with me this time, romancing the cigarette is something I will not do, stay close to the board, yell when you need us and looking forward to sharing your journey with you xx

Bakon you always manage to raise a chuckle, lets hope nothing else while the eggs go by ;) xxx
