The Chief! I'm so happy to see you! Smoking is such a drag. :) All we can do is decide to not smoke everyday. Some days are harder than others, right.??? But what is most important is to never give giving up. I have thought about starting again. Maybe it is problems in my marriage or because I am not the perfect parent or I'm gaining a few pounds. Ultimately, the thing that stops me from smoking again is that it just makes every thing worse. It's just not a solution to anything. I sincerely hope that I hold on to that one thought. And that you do too. :)

Oh, and to answer the question..... knife drawer is to my left and some glass of liquid (coffee cup, water glass , or wine glass depending on the day and time). Broken glass can certainly be used a weapon if necessary. :) I'm kind of a wimp though, and I'm not very compassionate, so hopefully, my husband, daughter or son are there to protect themselves first. I'm working on the compassionate part. I try to be charitable, and while not the same as compassionate, it's close, right?

My daughter would LOVE you!!! We have a cross bow that my kids shoot at hay bails. We also have a nice sword that of course they know is not a toy or something that they go showing off to their friends (and of course is put away anyway). Weapon party at DDs! :)

Hang in there. They are a pain and take time away from doing other things, but you will be fine, I'm sure. :)

Jump right back on the quit train. Decide to never smoke again, no matter what. Don't let drinking be an excuse. Yes, many quits have been lost due to drinking, but you still made the choice to smoke. And intoxicated or not, you can also make the choice not to smoke.

I'm re-reading The Stranger by Albert Camus. I'm not sure why. I read it like 20 years ago in college. The Cure has a song called "Killing of An Arab" based on this book. I heard the song recently, so thought I'd read the book again.

We haven't gotten a second grill, MQ, but need one. I do love The Green Egg, but it is an art. No flip a switch and grill for sure, but it really does make for some nice tasting meat - seriously everything we have ever made has been so tasty!!! However, we don't use it to it's full potential - it really is meant to be a slow cook smoker, but hub & I are not patient or skilled enough for that. Maintenance is kind of a pain too. Since it is charcoal, you have to clean up all the ashes for proper airflow every time - unlike a gas grill where you can just burn off the residue and deep clean on occasion. Plus, if you you want to quick grill something like zucchini, the Green Egg doesn't fire up quickly. I love grilled food though, so a basic gas grill is definitely on my shopping list. :) Thanks for asking. :) I saw your model at home depot - it's on my radar. :)

Sounds like so much fun! I have always wanted to go on a cruise too, but hubster is reluctant. Maybe I can look into this type of compromise. :)

I bought Game of Thrones through Amazon Prime. I agree that it is a little cumbersome. I couldn't get it to load on our TV one day (we have a Smart TV), but that may have been our sucky internet connection. Liked the first episode of HOC, MQ. It is not one to watch with our kids, but hub & I liked it. :) We are also watching One Upon a Time on Netflix. Another kid friendly one. It's pretty good. :)

We've been watching Psyche for several months - a couple episodes here and there. It's great cuz it is something we can watch with the kids. Gonna check out House of Cards tonight.
