  1. We're really not sure where to start, and I suck at drawing. But Ava likes to mud wrestle. :)
  2. Y'all never miss me when I'm gone or notice me when I'm here, and really, it just hurts. HAHA.
  3. Rob - Dude! Stay with us here. You're cute, funny and a non-smoker - Everything a good quit smoking forum needs! Don't go out there thinking you're all cool & stuff - wanting to smoke but not. Hang out here & quit romancing the smoke! You've gone down that road before. Take the QuitTrain instead. We're more fun!

  5. LOL - just kinning about the mud wrestling. Wasn't sure about the last question - thought I knew her better. :)
  6. Your quit reminds me of some of my early days. I would be driving near my gas station smoke stops. I told my self, go to the next one, go to the next one. go to the next one. I was almost, and nearly turned around. I pulled my car over and used my phone to check the Board. I didn't post, but I just checked in. I struggled that moment, but I told myself - "just go home, you are almost there. If you have to you can turn around when you get home." I got home - logged on to the Board again, and got through it.

  8. Blow pops are better than cigs, and soon you won't crave either as much. :) I cried some too. One day, I was literally on the floor bawling like a three year old. It didn't feel great at the time, but it felt AWESOME to not smoke. I came to the Board and posted. My quit friends got me through. The first few weeks have some dark moments, but there is light. We promise.
  9. AWESOME! You are doing great! :)

  12. 30 minutes on the treadmill. :)
  13. Here! :)
  14. I was addicted to the Board when I quit. Spent so much time here and it really helped me stay quit for good. Post as often as you like, get into some of the games. It's such a great place and such wonderful people!!! Welcome!!! :)
  15. Welcome, Toni! Congrats on quitting to you and your husband!!! I didn't have stomach issues, but I know many, many people did. It sounds like something that will pass soon. Maybe try getting into some exercising or walking. That might help a bit with the weight gain too. :)
  16. That's great! Yes, changes in the kitchen for sure. Some people have a cheat meal once a week. I think that is a great idea so you can still enjoy the junk once in a while. I wonder if having a small cheat item once a day would work instead? Like a small handful of M&Ms or a scoop of ice cream after dinner - then smaller portions of healthy stuff the rest of the day? I don't know. What about stationary biking? Yoga is a great idea too to get your body moving around and stretching out. As you go along, you will be gaining strength as well. Try to find a buddy too, to help hold you accountable. You and Jenny Jen?? :) You go, Girl! :)
  17. Great job, Sarah!!!! We are so proud of you! Hang in there, girl. Enjoy your single life, when the time is right you will know. :)
  18. Way to stay on track. :) We all have moments. Getting through them is AWESOME!! :)
  19. I'm in. :)
  20. Yep - Sandal and flip flop weather are here! I'll give you a shoe shot soon, Mr. Bakon. :)
  21. So sorry you are going though that stuff, Mike. Of course life is worth it. I hope you will find peace and joy. Look at the things you have overcome, smoking, drinking, bad relationships. Enjoy your alone time. look for the brightness. It is there. As far as what stirs me - well, I am a bit lost myself. I have a very good life. A husband who is a great provider, the two best kids a Mom could ask for, dogs that are so awesome that I can overlook when they are being annoying. Yet, I feel I am going through mid-life crisis. I long for things i want to do and can't right now, like traveling for example. So, I try to focus on the positive things in my life. Try to exercise and stay healthy and enjoy what is here and now - especially my kids, who are growing so fast. Look for the brightness, Chief.
  22. You're such a romantic tonight. :)
  23. Bat day is AWESOME. :) even if I am a few days late.
  24. Go Chief!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
