  1. How about these MG? :D
  2. They are for my boys, they currently have a crossbow but only one so they fight over it. This should make for some epic zombie hunting around my house.
  3. I am still using my patch and the first two or three weeks I would chew nicotine gum to get through tough cravings. I cut off the gum a few weeks ago, and am about to step down to 14mg patch. I worked out this plan on day 3 of my quit with the help of my doctor, and I am going to follow it through. I know cold turkey gets all the nasty done right at the start, but this is the most successful quit attempt of my life so I feel like it's right for me. I agree that the gum is more similar to smoking, and going to it after patches is probably not the best. In any case NRT is better than cigarettes.
  4. I have tea also, putting the kids to bed was/is a huge trigger for me so instead I have a cup of tea. After dinner I will take the dog out. At work I just go outside and have some deep breaths and focus on how well my lungs are working. Gets me away from the desk for a bit, also do the tea thing sometimes as a break from work. Cinnamon candy or toothpicks while driving, ect.
  5. I saw her at a festival a couple summers ago. She was amazing, I loved watching her dance around the stage while playing . :)
  6. Santa is bringing me some perfume (LaVanilla), box of yummy teas, and Bluetooth headphones. Also he is bringing nerf zombie strike rifles, a cabbage patch fairy and a crayon making machine.

  11. I am only 1 month into my quit, but this forum and the great people here have been amazing! Having this group has helped more than any of my other tricks.
  12. Feeling great today!!! Large chunks of time flying by with no thoughts of cigarettes, and when I do have thoughts of smoking the desire is minimal.

It's the best feeling, when you first start to realize you aren't thinking about smoking, isn't it?

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
