  25. I know where you are coming from... Like many (or most) of us on here, I never smoked in my own house..I always went outside. Well, a great opportunity to light up was when I would take the dogs out for a walk... That was the biggest trigger to suppress...As soon as I would hit the door with the dogs leash in one hand, my other hand would immediately go to the inside pocket on my jacket where I kept my cigarettes... and...Thankfully, there wasnt any there.. I bet I went through that scenario at least a dozen times before it was no longer an automatic reflex.. It made me realize how "automatic" smoking had become for me..

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
