Before I get into boring most of you, I want to thank everyone for all the congrats and well wishes!.. this place rocks!!! We may not have planned any of the events of the past week, but what a great week it turned out to be! As you know, my oldest daughter gave birth to our first grandson... We already had plans to stay at daughter #3 (Jodi) Saturday night as we were babysitting our youngest granddaughter (Delaney) while they attended a wedding. So... with the news of Kelli being induced, we took off for Columbus on Wednesday instead and made a week of spending time with 2 of our youngest daughters and our oldest granddaughter Janelle) who attends OSU.(Go BUCKS!!) O-H... In a nutshell... we all got together Friday for a night out together, and had a great time! All day Saturday was spent with Jodi and Delaney with a visit to see Drew thrown in... On Sunday, the Columbus zoo has a huge classic car show.. called Colo’s Classic Car Show...Dave Kindig (From Velocity’s “Bitchin Rides”) is the guest judge... Napa (auto parts)is one of the main sponsors, and my youngest daughter is their RBDM (Retail Business Development Manager) and we spent the day at the zoo...hanging out in the VIP areas with Dave Kindig , and seeing a lot of awesome cars(they were hoping for 2000... I haven’t heard the official numbers yet) . and then hen to wrap up our time in the Columbus area, we made a stop by Kelli’s house on the way home to see how all those girls were adjusting to a new baby brother... everyone is excited so far and he hasn’t interrupted too much of the girls sleep. ? so... this wasn’t on the calendar , but it turned out to be a great week!

He certainly is a big one! .. I’m a little more accustomed to 7 pounders... lol everyone is doing great and the older sisters are on their way up to meet the little guy. Troy picked Lexi from school and my youngest daughter picked the other 2 up from day-care... Audrey ( their youngest daughter.. almost 3 years old) is upset.. when told about her new little brother “Drew”... she had a melt down because his name is supposed to be “Jackson” !!.. she wanted to know “how could her mom do that??!!” ? ? They should be heading home tomorrow if everyone/everything checks out ok the rest of the day.

2 hours after the dr. Broke Kelli’s water, little (big) Drew entered the world! He was born at 12:38 am , weighed in at 9lb-6oz and 21 inches long! The labor was fast and furious, and once the dr. “nudged” him to get him going the right direction, everything went great! Mom and baby are both doing great and resting! Not sure if I can put a pic up from my phone, but if not, in the next few days when I get home , I will put enough up you will get tired of seeing them . ?

Well... Kelli will be admitted to the hospital tonight. The Dr. wants to induce her. The little guy is “transverse” and hopefully getting the labor process going will get him to head the right direction. If that only doesn’t get him the right direction, the Dr. may have to give him a helping hand.... worst case scenario is the doc would have to perform a c—section. We don’t want that, but whatever it takes for all involved to come through this with happy endings , is all that matters. I’m pretty sure I will be at Kelli’s house for awhile with her little girls while Sherrie is at the hospital... when my youngest daughter gets off of work she said that she would relieve me and I will head up to see Kelli... I’m assuming that we won’t get to see that new little grandson until late tomorrow morning or early afternoon... i will check back back in when I have a name and pictures to post...

Hey all...just wanna stop in for a quick hello.... my life has been pretty hectic, some good, some bad, but in the end, I'm still smoke free and life goes on! As some of you may recall, our oldest daughter Kelli is (very) pregnant with grandchild #9, ..our first grandson! (After also having 4 daughters of our own) she was due Friday the 29th....on her last visit to the dr (on Wed) he said she isn't ready yet...1/2 cm dilated...no thinning, and the babies head is still "floating". (He still hasn't dropped). Kelli has a clotting issue, so the Dr. Wants to wait for nature to take its course before possibly inducing labor. He is afraid if they induce her and she isn't ready, a,c-section may then be nesassary, and he wants to avoid that....he told Kelli, he is expecting something to happen by next Thursday, or he will have to consider inducing her....sooo... The little guy may be holding out for a few more days, but by this time next week, I'm pretty certain I will have some help, around here battling all this estrogen .. I have poked my nose in a few times and see everyone seems to be doing well, and we are still getting quite a few newbies that seem to have a good handle on this quitting thing....good job everyone!
