  1. I think that is awesome. I think more adults should buy "toys" and things like that. :)
  2. I failed, again. I have requit, it has been 5 days. I'm feeling a bit down, on myself in general as well as because I continue to fail at quitting smoking. I start off great, but I know my big trigger is driving on the interstate, which I've been doing a lot of lately. Something in me just feels almost like it is a requirement that I smoke when I do those kinds of drives. I dont' even think about it, I stop and buy cigarettes and start puffing away in those situations. When I just stay home, and go to work, I am absolutely able to handle quitting. Not feeling to great about myself right now, but I honestly do want to keep not smoking. I wish that the cravings would just go away, leave me be, let me live my life without them there, without the cigarettes there.
  3. Thank you all very much for your replies!!! I really liked that first video Colleen. It actually helps make me feel a bit at ease the way that dr. mike explained addictions .... devildoll, that is a lot of videos on that link, thanks so much. I think that might take me a few days to get through them ones :) I appreciate every one commenting to me and welcoming me to the site! :)
  4. Hello, I am new to the website... well, I joined a few weeks back. I was 3ish months into my quit, and I failed. It has been a rough few weeks, trying to requit every two days. Perhaps messaging here will help and encourage me to stay quit. I have not smoked today. Outside of smoking, my life couldn't be better. I think maybe that is how I lie to myself and trick myself into smoking, because I always smoked as a reward. I'm sure that sounds silly, I don't know... I am quitting for the many health reasons. Its been horrible that I feel very out of breath after going up 4 flights of stairs at work, which I do everyday for lunch... anyhow, just wanted to say hello. And yes, I love food haha :) Cheers

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
