  1. Oh Gosh...No don't be worried! I got a cold, stayed in bed for 1 day and gave up smoking in the Evening. No planning at all, I just put it out after 35 years of smoking. I quit on my own and signed up at day 8 or 9. You are not doing anything wrong, you are doing fantastic. You know enough to stay quit...you know that you don't want to smoke anymore! That's all there is to know..know what you want! You are right, all the relapse stories can be demoralizing....I felt the same way! I questioned my quit as well, like "everybody seems to relapse it seems to be normal, when will I?" I won't and neither will you :) There are a few one time quitters here...we should make our own thread! Reading that relapse wasn't a crime, did it yesterday and that's one of the main reasons that I step back, that and my work. I feel joy over my quit, I want to stay quit.
  2. Have a great Day everybody!

  5. Beth...you turned your life around...I congratulate you!
  6. Funny there is a song by Passenger "Life is for the living" that I just love
  7. One day at a time...Let's S.N.O.T together tomorrow A loud and heartfelt S.N.O.T. (Smoking is not an option today) and we think about the day after tomorrow later. One day at a time!
  8. I am glad Amy! Tomorrow is the first day of your smoke free life! I like that..one day at a time!
  9. so true....that's why you read S.N.O.T (Smoking is not an option today) in my pledge for many weeks...lately I can say NOPE and it's not scary anymore. So Amy, put them down and lets S.N.O.T. together :-)
  10. Just read it....almost same experience yesterday!
  11. I find this headline disturbing.....it sounds like the perfect excuse to relapse! Quitting is a mindset -at least that's my humbled opinion- so I do wonder what it does to a Newbie when they read "Relapsing is not a crime" combined with "famous failures" ? "If you have never failed, you have never tried anything new" ...it might be true for many things..but not a good advice for a quit smoking board! At least not for me! I haven't failed in my quit yet and won't fail in the future either....and I am not the only one here! Some of us tried something new and succeed right from the start!
  12. Quitting smoking is like a roller coaster...I always say "fasten your seat belt and enjoy the ride"! I had days when I felt full of joy ...and there were days when I wanted to hit somebody :-) It's normal!
  13. Thank you so much for signing in! I was worried about you! We are all here when you will be ready! I know you can quit....and I want you to believe it as well! In order to succeed, we must first believe that we can
  14. Opportunity may knock once, but temptation bangs on your front door forever

  15. Good Morning Everybody! It's a N.O.P.E from me!
  16. I like it if you don't know everything about me..some subjects will come up in the future, if they don't (lucky me)

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
