  3. Juan! You are 27 years old, you are a handsome young man and you have your whole life ahead of you...and may it be a healthy one! I am 50 years old, I smoked for 35 years. I feel good, I am active and don't look or behave my age....BUT chances that I am going to die of a cancer cost by smoking are pretty high! Chances that I will pay the ultimate price....are pretty high! You .....yes, you young man...you don't want to be in my shoes in 23 year....do you? I quit and if I can do it...so can you! You have everything going for you! I promise I will be on your side with love, support and a verbal slap on your head if needed!
  4. I was searching for some answers and found different support boards..didn't even know they were existing! I quit on my own, but after a few days I wanted to talk to people like me. That's the most important aspect for me...to be able to get advice from ex smokers. I knew you guys were important, but I saw how important on the day I had to leave to say Good bye!

    Day 6

Amy I am not sure if I should give you an advice..but oh well there you go :-) I am very glad that you have an easy quit! It means your mind is made up and you don't want to smoke anymore. We count the days first, then weeks, then months! Quitting smoking is not easy, it deserves celebration. Something to remember...if there will be a great temptation!
  6. Juan....I appreciate your honesty! I don't like it that you relapsed...neither do you! I don't like the "quit date" thing....I don't want to miss you young man!
  7. Nuts? Nothing wrong with a couple of nuts :-) I would love to welcome you Becky! See you soon I hope (both Becky's maybe)
  8. I have a feeling you Dad would be smiling too watching you right now! I wish I would live closer, I would grab a bottle (or two) and come over! Sending you a big hug (and keep the bottle for later)
  9. Don't you dare ...you don't need any lessons in being evil...because it wouldn't be you! Your feelings are never dumb, childish or not worth having it, don't you ever think that! You are special my Dear! A guard doesn't shield you from getting hurt, it just seems so...but makes you feel lonely in the long run. (((DD))))
  10. You are fine..it's Smokey the Nicodemon..he is having a fit because he know you don't listen anymore. Smile Tiffany...you are doing great, that's why he is having a fit :-)
  11. Read a book Write in your blog Listen to music Go for a walk Sit outside and just enjoy the day Oh and Lunch would actually be a good idea :-)
  12. Thank you....so much better! You were the 3rd person replying when I posted for the first time and I learned "Easy Peasy" that day. I never really understood your "Easy Peasy" at the beginning, but now I use words like "easy" and "simple" as well when somebody asked me how quitting felt My imagination went wild when I thought how quitting would be...in reality..it's really easy and really simple...... or at least can be easy when your mind is made up. I am glad Sgt. Sausage is back...can't help with the eggs

    My First Cigarette

It was nice to meet the young Action. Oh Gosh we all stepped in the same trap Loved reading it!
  14. note to myself "never mention my total gym to MQ" :-)
  15. I can't and won't go on a lido deck...it's not here! Some people are not on both boards anymore...there will be a lot of new members here shortly, they don't know anything about a lido deck..and why should they?
  16. I was thinking about him too......please keep us posted!
  17. Oh Amy....you just made my day :-)

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
