  1. I just realized that I think I’m overthinking (yes, “thinking” about “overthinking”…clearly I’m an over thinker!!) this whole thing. It’s causing me pretty bad anxiety because I THINK about quitting all day long. I wake up in the morning and my stomach sinks trying to figure out how not so have that first one. I have entered a very vicious cycle here. I read everyone’s posts about withdrawls and it freaks me out!! When you all say they lessen/get better what’s that timeline? If they peak at day three how the heck will I ever get through days 1 and 2? I’m being such a coward!!!
  2. Hello all! I’m not an expert at forums (is that what this page is actually called?) and I am having a hard time navigating this site. Any tips on how to find the most recent posts, how to search for a topic, etc? On my end the topic dates are all over the place and I have a hard time finding recent posts. I must be doing something wrong? 🤣
  3. I’ve read this. Many parts of it really struck me. I highlighted and bookmarked pages/sections and reread them often. Someone mentioned that they read the book but then got the audiobook and it was their “aha” moment. I think I will try that.
  4. I like this!! I love this!
  5. The first one is the hardest one to negotiate. Can I ask what you mean by it being the first to lose power? I often feel like if I can get passed that one I MIGHT be able to really take the plunge!
  6. It’s that first step I can’t seem to take but reading your message about taking the NOPE pledge to commit to one non smoking day makes it seem a BIT less scary!
  7. By the way, how are you doing. I remember reading a post of yours saying you wanted this (withdrawls, etc) to end. How many days has it been for you?
  8. Could you explain what min, hour, day actually means? Is it a way to keep you motivated and you just keep saying “one hour, one hour” until you can finally go to bed and not thing about it🤣? Is it to help you “practice” using this strategy?
  9. Ok, so a really dumb question and I really hesitate to ask. Why aren't e cigs considered an NRT? I know in places like the UK they actually suggest trying to quit using a vape or e cig. I think I know the answer but wondering if anyone has tried to switch over them quit. Can you tell I am STILL unable to make that first move? What am I doing wrong here??
  10. The fear of the intense withdrawal is SO scary! How long does it really last?
  11. I am beginning to feel a change in my head about quitting. This morning when I woke up the first thing I thought was “I’m not feeling the same twitch of having to smoke” of course I DID smoke but each cigarette after that was preceded with the same thought. I have been able to increase the amount of time in between cigarettes today but the thought of not knowing when the next opportunity will come makes me smoke. It’s odd because I can often go 5 hours at work without smoking and barely thinking about it! This mental game is the hardest part! Like when will I be ready to bite the damn bullet??
  12. I am new here. Brioski, I hope you muscles through and are still staying strong. Can someone tell me what a BAC or air cig is?
  13. Hello, I am new here and desperately wanting to quit. I’ve been able to cut back from 20 to 14 a day but can’t move passed that! I am so afraid of cold turkey. Every night before bed I say “I will not smoke tomorrow” and I wake up, contemplate for about a nano second and light up! How did you resist that first one?
