  11. Hi @Ritagirl Welcome Aboard the Quit Train, I am so glad you found us. If you are very serious about quitting smoking, THIS IS THE PLACE TO BE for Support!!! I know it's so difficult to keep a quit when we drink! I had that problem a lot in the beginning, but now it's definitely not as bad. I also had problems after I ate meals, but that wasn't as bad, as if I drank. Eventually all of these cravings will go away the longer you are quit from smoking! My advice to you, and I'm sure everyone else here will agree with me, is to come on EVERY DAY, if you can! Don't skip more than a day or two, as it's so important, especially in the Very beginning! I truly believe staying so close to this forum, will help you a lot to quit smoking!!! I honestly believe that, because coming on here helped me so much! So, @Ritagirl, if you are really serious, I hope you stay with us!! Good Luck to you!!

  16. It probably is off the patent as patents usually last 15 years for the brand names and I used Chantix the first time I quit back in 2009. Back then it wasn't covered by insurance and cost about $130 a month from what I remember. It was extremely expensive but then insurance started to cover it after a while.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
