  2. Yes, I had it too. I also had a feeling of doom but it all passed after about 3 weeks or so. Hang in there!!
  3. I know you can do it LOF! We all have. I'm only smoke free for a little over a month and I have survived...LOL!! The first week was bad, I will be honest, but most of the time I was not climbing the walls. I had a few meltdowns but then I would come on here and everyone would help me through it. You can do it!!! I know that first one in the morning was the most difficult. I would be having my coffee, sitting by my computer and then I would go and smoke. But I got through it and it's really not too bad now. The longer you go without a cigarette, the easier it will become. At first I would think of smoking every single minute of the day, now I don't think about it nearly as much, it keeps getting less and less. When I do get a craving they don't last more than a few seconds. If you need the lozenges when you get out of bed, use them. Whatever will help you!!

  8. Thanks!! Yup, still walking which is harder than quitting smoking. Go figure!
  9. Thanks Mac!! Thank you Denali!! I am quite pleased about it as well. Thank you so much!!! Ohh yeah, Next time I do my food shopping I'm gonna go out and buy some of that!!!
  10. Thanks so much Gus!! I do need to reward myself but with what? I don't want to eat fattening foods since I'm trying to lose weight. Any ideas of what to reward myself? What did you reward yourself after a month?
  11. Thank you Johnny!!!
  12. Ohhhh Wow!!!!! Thank you so much Doreen!!! It has been a month already!! Time just flies! Amazing!! Looking back, this past month, it hasn't been that bad, except for the first week to 10 days. The urges are so much less now, almost gone. Even in the morning when I used to smoke like 2-4 cigarettes in an hour and a half while having my 2 cups of coffee, I don't really get the urges anymore, and the few urges that I do get just pass after like 20 or 30 seconds. So, it's definitely much better!! As I think you know, I have started a walking regime, and I told my husband last week that the walking is much harder for me than quitting smoking, as my legs and feet still hurt a lot! But, I guess, as time goes on, it will get easier (I hope), because right now the pain is giving me no gain! LOL!!! But, I will keep plugging along! Thank you Doreen and everyone else on this forum for helping me to get through this!! You all are great people and it's a privilege to be part of this group!! Thank you so much!!!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
