  1. I know Bri it is so difficult sometimes but please hang in there, you are doing so great!!! And, as we all have said, smoking again won't help with anything. They won't solve problems, won't fix damaged cars, they won't solve anything, they just make things worse. Hang in there we are all with you!!
  2. I don't think they will give me anything back and my deductible is $1000 on that car because of it's age. The other driver stopped short and then my husband went into her. So I think they would consider it his fault. The insurance adjuster is coming on Monday to look at the damage.
  3. It was in very good condition. Never had any accidents before this one on that car. Kept very well and it has 59,000 miles on it and it's a 2004 Nissan Sentra. The engine thankfully is ok as my husband was able to drive it home after the accident. I am attaching a pic so you can see. The other headlight is fine, just the right one got smashed up. The damage is pretty bad so I doubt they will pay to fix it.
  4. I doubt I will get anything near that because the car is very old so I don't think they will pay to fix it and we will probably have to junk it.
  5. Thank you Reciprocity!! Yup things can for sure be replaced, ppl can't!! I would so upset and nervous this afternoon. It was a very stressful day for sure, but I think I'm handling it ok with the smoking, but other than that, I'm very nervous and have been acting crazy!
  6. So how does it work when they total a car, as I never had that happen to me. My car is 19 years old but has only 58,000 miles on it and it runs really well. do you think I would get any money for it? I do have a $1000 deductible on the collision portion because it's so old, so I feel that I won't get anything at all. Thanks, my mom wouldn't give me even a drag of a cigarette. She is so good!! Thanks so much Bri!!
  7. Hi everyone! Ohhh boy can I use a cigarette today!!! My husband was in a car accident a few hours ago!! THANKFULLY HE IS OK!! THANK GOD!!! The damage is bad to the car but not as bad as I thought it would be when he called me to tell me. The accident was with the car that I use, a very old car with low mileage. The car that he uses which is new had a tire leak so he had to use mine until he could get the tire fixed. Again, THANKFULLY HE IS OK!!!! But, it is very upsetting anyway. I'm sure the insurance company will total out the car even though it only has 58,000 miles on it, but it's 19 years old. But, I can go for a cigarette, and my mom who lives downstairs from me smokes, and I could have snuck one of hers (she wouldn't give me one, if I asked), but I chose not to. Smoking won't make the damage on the car go away, so what's the point!!! I am very happy that I didn't take a cigarette! And, the other night I dreamt that I smoked 2 of them, see previous post!
  8. In the dream I really enjoyed smoking the 2 cigarettes, and to be honest I do miss smoking sometimes but I'm glad that I don't smoke anymore!
  9. I had a dream last night that I smoked 2 cigarettes!! When I woke up today I wasn't sure if it was real or not, then I realized it was just a dream, thankfully! Whew!!!
  10. Wowie Johnny!!! 9 years is fantastic!!!!!! Yay!!! All the Best Congratulations!!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
