  1. Well, the test came back positive so I do have it. For 4 years I didn't get it and now it finally caught up with me! But honestly, it just feels like a very bad cold and the only reason that I thought it might be is because yesterday morning I had a low grade fever so I took the home test. If I had no fever I wouldn't have even tested or gone to the doctor. Thankfully my taste and smell are fine for now. Hopefully it will stay that way. When you had Covid, how many days did it last before you started to feel better?
  2. @Reciprocity Aren't Covid and cold symtoms very similar? Or at least nowadays? I should either get the test results back on Wed or Monday. I don't know if the lab works over the weekend.
  3. Thanks everyone! I went this afternoon to the urgent care and they did a Covid and Flu test combined. Flu was negative as was Covid, but the doc also did a PCR test since my home test had a very faint line. I won't get those results for about 3 days. I don't feel terrible but I don't feel great either. I kind of feel like I have a cold. I can still taste and smell everything. Gee, @Reciprocity that must have been terrible not to be able to taste or smell anything.
  4. I might have Covid! Ugh!! I woke up yesterday with a bit of a sore throat and a runny nose so I thought I was getting another cold. Today I woke up with a low grade fever and body aches. So I took a home test and the line was very faint so I have an appt with the Urgent Care later to find out for sure. I avoided Covid for 4 years, and now it may have finally caught up with me!

  10. Hi Doreen, Thanks!! For the most part I am doing well with my quit. I certainly came a long way from the first couple of months. I do, however, get occasional urges but I work through them and they do pass rather quickly. I am looking forward to the day when I can look at or smell a cig and not get an urge. I hope that day happens soon.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
