  2. I feel content...yes. :) I was actually just recently talking to a friend about our quit and how it changed our lives...even our perspectives. Looking back, we agreed that smoking is like passively watching life happen in front of you...like sitting on the porch smoking while people and cars passed me by. Life used to revolve around when my next smoke will be, whether I'm riding, playing hockey, fishing, etc. Life was secondary. Not anymore though. Now, life comes first. Now, as weird as it may sound, I am being pro-active in living my own life. I'm in charge now. And it feels great, to be honest. :) So yes...I feel very content. But having said that, I also remain very aware that it only takes one puff.

  6. You know, I still remember the first time we 'talked'. I just made an innocent joke about running away from vegans and then you went all wolf crazy on me. Lol. And look at us now...both 1 year quit...and one of us still wolf crazy. Lol. :) Kidding, of course. I'm very happy and proud of you. I know how difficult it was at times. But you pulled through that and changed your life. That's pretty amazing by any standard. And thank you for playing such a huge part in helping me quit...and lastly, thank you for being such a great friend. Congratulations!!!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
