  2. That's awesome Linda! Great job conquering the bad cravings. You're doing so well going over 9 months! Great example for me to follow.
  3. Thanks everyone for the great advice. I agree... I figure I'll have to steer clear of some things like long rides and beer & wings with the guys for just a little while. At least until I feel confident and comfortable enough. Small sacrifices for the greater good.
  4. The weekend was tough. On Saturday I was supposed to go on a group ride with my motorcycle buddies. But I decided not to go because I usually smoked on every pit stop and I didn't trust myself completely yet. Then on Sunday, I passed on dirt biking in the forest for the same reason. I know I made the right choice to protect my quit, but riding is usually what keeps me sane and relaxed. Without it, I found myself on edge and short-tempered. My quit is good...but I feel frustrated and not myself. I don't know if that's related to quitting. Hope this feeling goes away soon.
  5. Welcome Patricia. You've come to the right place for support. Lots of good people here to help you out. More importantly, I think you've made the best decision for yourself and your family to quit.
  6. Welcome back! I've just come back recently too. You can do this. We can do this. Lots of great ppl here to support us.
  7. Good work Justin. You're almost at 1 month! I'm about 2 weeks behind, so I'll be right there with you. Let's keep this thing going.
  8. Thanks guys. All done. A couple of cravings when I first got there, but just said nope.
  9. To elevate newbies

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
