  1. As a smoker, I would never in a million years believe I could be HAPPIER as a non smoker. But it's true. Everything is so much better since I quit smoking.
  2. Checking in on you too! Let us know if we can help.
  3. --I was embarrassed to always be clearing my throat --I was annoyed at myself because (I was a closet smoker) always thinking about cigarettes. I realize now I was almost always in withdrawal. A real ****y way to live

    Sunday

So these blogs are extremely boring, meant only to keep me on the straight and narrow for my diet. Sundays are the toughest days for me, b/c not at work but gotta stay on the path. So far so good. For my cheat day Saturday I had a tonnnnn of cookies. It was great.
  5. All of us are addicts, and all of us need support to stay off the bad stuff. I am so glad you are trying again Rowland. We are here for you and Allen Carr is amazing in my opinion. I don't think I could have happily quit smoking without reading his stuff. Previous quits I always felt like my life was over when I quit. I had to go back to his book several times for a pick me up, but it worked. Onward and upward. Hang tough! Vent if you need to!
  6. Petra I read that like 10 years ago! I was really sick (turns out I was septic and almost died) so I cannot remember it exactly but I remember I liked it a lot. Very long book. Not to brag or anything, but since last Friday: -I have received a first look at a manuscript for an author to review -I have won a $10 gift card to amazon -I have received a beta version of a highly anticipated book 5 (and final book) of a series. .. I have also worked about 65 hours and have to cram the reading in when I can, b/c when you get sent those, you gotta drop everything and read, so they can get them released by the release date.
  7. Nance you are amazing! Very well done, so proud of you. Thank you thank you for always being so much fun and so encouraging.
  8. Such good news! Always lovely to hear from you. You are a kind, dear soul.
  9. Is there an audible version of Allen Carr's Only Way? Did you know Allen Carr liked orange juice?
  10. He liked to talk to himself in chat! I didn't realize the po po. Whenever I see one of our fine boys in blue I get all paranoid. And I am wayyyy too boring to break any laws. Bakon tell us 2 things more about yourself!
  11. Woooo! Party all month long!
  12. Beacon my dear you are wonderful and as always you are an inspiration!
  13. A Little Bit of Heaven was the BEST movie, and I never watch movies. When was the last time you worked out to the point you were sore the next day?
  14. I watched orange is the new black to distract myself when I first quit too!The mentality of, 'they have it way worse than me.' This first part of a quit can be tough at times, but I promise, very shortly it will be way better. Last night my heart literally skipped a beat, and I remember that used to happen quite of often when I was a smoker. First time it's happened since then, and I'm not worried about it, but when you are smoking and those types of things happen on any kind of regular basis, it's terrifying. So very soon all that type of fear goes away too. You are doing great so far!!
  15. Why yes I have. When was the last time you listened to Alex and Sierra?
  16. I'm checking in...if you didn't already see my 500 posts in the book thread :P
  17. Me too! I think Bag of Bones is my fave thou.
  18. I think it looks awesome!
  19. Will there be an Allen Carr book giveaway in the near future again?
  20. My new fan on my desk at work.
  21. That sounds lovely (the bergamot not the goat.) I've always wanted a scent that smells like black licorice.
  22. You are tough and you don't give up! Proud of you.
  23. I used to go outside almost first thing every morning. 'Taking the dogs out'. Blizzard or whatever. What a pain.
  24. Keep up the squeakaful work!
  25. Amazing! JLP, you are doing awesome. Isn't it great to be free?

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
