  1. You dirty girl! I would have never guessed Andrew was an Englishman from his profile pic. Very nice chap, and has a great sense of humor. Still wondering if he found the time to watch, "So I married an axe murderer."
  2. Oh my, I had the WORST day at work, and this thread just cracked me up. You guys are great. And sometimes even a little funny :prankster2: And thanks for the nice things said.
  3. Rob! That really is amazing. Do you feel like a different person? What are the best things about being free for you?
  4. Said much better than I could have. Makes a lot of sense.
  5. She is a busy mama, heart of gold but strong in her opinions. Her and my hb both quit the same way and both are quit over a year ;-)
  6. Thank you Nicky for posting :). She is just as I pictured her <3
  7. I agree you only fail when you quit quitting, I quit smoking for 4 months last time and was totally miserable b/c I had the wrong mindset. Allen Carr helped me understand I wasn't missing anything, I read his books and listened to his audible repeatedly when I first quit. What gets measured gets done, and I think it will help you a lot to keep checking in, at least for now.
  8. My dog has severe separation anxiety. I don't know what to do, we have to go to work but he wants me to hold him all the time and hyperventilates when I put him down or ignore him. (Love him, but there are times I cannot be holding Cocoa.) i if I'm sitting he *has* to share the chair with me. He's whining his fool head off right now because I'm not petting him.
  9. No music and Jen no run. Good luck to you Sarge.
  10. Yesssss! Great, great job! Congrats to you Sharon.
  11. Baffled you are amazing :) very happy for you and glad to know you.
  12. I am only at 2.0 incline but made it 3.5 miles today.
  13. Day 4 of training, have until Saturday. Goal is 3 miles/day. So far so good. Fell in between the treadmills and the handle thing bashed in my ribs. I thought I needed 'a change of scenery,' so decided to move to next treadmill over. Somehow lost my footing, cuz I'm cool like that.
  14. Yes! I have a ton of moderately priced coffee for the group :D
  15. Action Frampton! Just an all around good dude and hilarious to boot. He keeps us on our toes. And he keeps Bakon guessing.
  16. Great job Sharon, one year is just beyond amazing! I think Nancy is catering a buffet tomorrow in you honor...;-)
  17. Great job Pippa! You are doing amazing and continue to be an inspiration to me :) So glad to know you.
  18. Yayyy Marti! Great job. I still want to hear more about what we were talking about. I say you write a book :D

  23. Boppin' 'em on the head.
  24. I have done that! Though I think people on this board are understanding even if we act like crumb bums from time to time.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
