  1. So they get super loud too? Like I have to put my Itouch on top volume loud almost all the time when at gym with the earbuds I have.
  2. I'll run it with you! I really had a hard time finding someone to go with me, all these never smokers 'fraid of a lil runnin.

  6. Gabby I'm proud of you! Great job. It's not always easy for all of us, but it just gets easier and easier.

  8. I have these kind and I'm constantly trying to Cram back into my ears. Esp. When sweating at all, it's like they are always falling put. What gives!
  9. Tracey! You are an amazing person and deserve all the benefits of being smoke free. You've hung tough and done awesome.
  10. I'm always on the lookout for decent running headphones. Got some refurbished Dr. Dre ones. Came in the mail yesterday, haven't tried them working out yet, but they seem like they'd make ears sweaty after I tried them on. Anyway...anyone try those? Anyone have earbuds/headphones they love for running?
  11. Bakon: secretly bought a kitty.
  12. Just reading this gave me chills, in a bad way. Reminded me big time of last time I quit and relapsed after 4 months. Honest to Pete, one has to get their mind right - and for gawd's sake stop idealizing smoking. It's gross, expensive, doesn't do a thing for you, makes you real sick if not dead, etc etc.
  13. My mom used to watch tennis all the time! And my dad watched fishing. And I quietly died a little each time inside, I was so bored. Sorry Tracey!
  14. So, there is a lot of discussion about triggers, or things that remind you of smoking. But there are also not smoking triggers. When I quit smoking, one of the first things I bought for myself as a reward (huge sale was going on, matter of fact Babs I think I was talking to you in chat when I was shopping online for this) was B&BW 'Venice Dolce Berry.' The scent now reminds me of hope (hope for the hopeless - me). I always thought that I was just one of those people that couldn't get away from it. I thought I was destined to die a horrible smoking related death. Once I got it through my thick skull that pretty much everyone who uses nicotine gets addicted - and it wasn't just that I had an addictive personality - I started to let go of the bad stuff and put my obsession with smoking behind me.
  15. -youtube sleep meditations -alex and sierra -UF fiction -seeing another person quit smoking and knowing how much happy they will soon be -having a laugh on the train

  17. Happppy Birthday HM!
  18. I never saw that movie. Makes sense, it'll kill ya slower, but it will kill ya all the same.
  19. That whole thing confuses me. :p I don't get it!
  20. Joe, I am so happy for ya! You are doing great and you are tons of fun.
  21. Wowee!! I don't know how you can do it. And I def. don't know how she can do that a smoker, I'd die. I will stick to my 2-3 miles I think. Maybe someday more, but I dunno.
  22. Holy smokes! To tell the truth I am like pretty impressed with myself when I run 2-3 miles a day. (My version of swagger.) I am beyond impressed with you running these crazy distances. Now this like shows people running 50 miles at a time? My workout compared to that. For real though - let us know how it goes at doc. Sending you positive thoughts!!
  23. No workout today!! For shame. No time, had to work thru lunch and late (did I mention I hate spreadsheets?) Yesterday ran 2 miles thou and did 30 min the stair stepper while reading an old Jen Lancaster book. She is hilarious.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
