  1. Here's my current fave: "Put a cork in it MQ!" I said yesterday in PM.
  2. I like the truck! I'm lost on the rest.
  3. I don't look down on smokers - I mean how could I? But I can see now that a lot times, never-smokers view smokers differently.
  4. I know what you mean, it was like trying to re-learn so many things for me. The good news is, that part doesn't last long and soon I was wondering how in the world I ever found the time to smoke before.
  5. There isn't one anymore. When I used to smoke, it was out on my back deck, no one around to know about it but my hb. There is no place smokers are welcome. I see it more clear now that I quit, people do look down on smokers. They are not viewed the same. Thank goodness we have put all that behind us.
  6. Congrats Marti's mum! Errrbody just keeps succeeding. I love it.
  7. Joe that is awesome! Well done to you, congrats. You are showin' us how it's done. :music:
  8. I like the sound of that, Super Evelyn. Sending positive vibes your way!
  9. Yogi, so good to see you, and so happy your quit is doing so well! How do you feel so far into your quit now?
  10. Name it Magda.
  11. But Ian somerhalder was born in '78...
  12. A year free, take that big tobacco ;-) Ain't gonna be no more lining the pockets of those fat cats from us. So glad to see it Ali, and well done to you. You have always been an inspiration.
  13. Mason, congrats! I'd love to know more about your journey. One month is so great and you should be very proud of yourself.
  14. I blink and everyone is raking in the successes. "Impossible to quit," they kept trying to brainwash us. My tookus! Paul it won't be long now, we'll all be on the deck clinking champagne flutes and having a laugh at Collen's antics.
  15. Can I quote this b/c I love this picture? Holski, I couldn't be more happy for you. This is a big deal! Great job. You are an awesome person and you deserve to treat yourself for this accomplishment.
  16. Paul I'm sorry I'm late, but happy birthday you old so and so ;-) I'm like you, birthdays are not as exciting as what the used to be, but still, a little bit more fun than average day.
  17. Susana, in your response to Tiff's SOS I really feel like you got this! Freedom is yours, you earned it, now you keep it. Allen Carr hit home with me when said something to the effect of, ok you have a problem, if there is something can do a out it, do it. If there is not, let it go. But, if you smoke because you have a problem, now you do in fact have a really big problem. The world really does not have a place for smokers anymore. It's time to let go of the addiction so we can be happy (life is not perfect but generally speaking), and free.
  18. Shaddykat double digits is right! I am giving you a pat on the back too :). Great job.
  19. Rofl! I do that all the time myself. Cuz, uh, we're fan girls. Have you watched 'the Vamp Diaries'? I read the books when I was a kid and adored them so much, but haven't watched the show. Elena has always been a blond in my mind.
  20. It's all Europe right? ;-)
  21. HM I just went through this a few months ago. It's sad beyond words and I'm so sorry for your loss. Sharon, your 5 min is such a good way to look at it. I have so many people/pets that I'm waiting anxiously 5 minutes to see.
  22. Oh congrats Susana! I remember how important this was for you. What is that highway called again? Autobon? I have a bit of a lead foot myself.
  23. T-25 abs. First time ever. Still cryin but what a great workout.
  24. Wise words Markus! Always so wonderful to see you.
  25. Evelyn, thinking of you. Please keep us posted. We are here to help.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
