  2. 555555! Or just 5. :D
  3. Oh my gosh those cheeks! Julie, scentsy has an 'autumn blazed maple,' if you haven't tried it yet, it's amazing. ;-)
  4. Jodie my friend. Lean on me.
  5. Wayyyyy back in the 90's when chat rooms were the cat's meow, I used to go by the handle "Pickled_Egg_in_a_Skillet_Angel." (Because all the girls seemed to be of the name some kind of an angel or another.) If any of you recognize the name from yahoo chat, Sup!
  6. DF last time I quit I relapsed at 4 months. I was like, forget this I don't want to live like this. Knowledge is power. I didn't go into this quit WANTING to quit, but I HAD to because of insurance/closet smoker issues. But once I started reading everything I could get my hands on - without even really having an open mind at first - I started to understand more. It's honest to Pete mind over matter. At 4 months the 'excitement' of the quit is over....but just around the corner is where it gets really cool, because then you start thinking about smoking less and less until one day it's not your 'go to' even in your head. Do I still have fleeting thoughts? From time to time. Does it make me unhappy? Hell no, I'm happy as a friggin clam I'm no longer a smoker. I firmly believed for most of 20 years that smoking, in one way or another, would kill me. I was resigned to that And that is really just sad. I am so glad that is not the case anymore. P.S Love the pic, you are so pretty!!
  7. Yay Yogi!!
  8. I had this weird pain in my back by my shoulder blade for the first few months I quit. My doc said it was nothing, and so did Babs. Finally I stopped thinking about it and it went away. I'm sure it's nothing Rowly, but better safe than sorry, I'd pop in to see the doc.
  9. Geri, if it was like that forever...I don't think half of us would be here. You bet your bippy it gets better!
  10. Anyone who wants to post here go for it! I am always anxious to hear more about members and their quits.
  11. Hi Geri! I'm late but congrats on a wonderful decision, one you will never regret. Read as much as you can on the addiction, knowledge was what made the difference for me this quit. Once I realized that there is no such thing as an 'addictive personality' and that pretty much everyone that gives nicotine a go becomes addicted, I realized I was not more addicted than everyone else. And if they could quit, then I could too. We are here to help you, anything you need - all of us have been exactly where you are. This is just the very beginning of a life of freedom for you.
  12. I am thinking of you E! Sending lots of positive thoughts your way

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
