  1. Yay!! I could sense your determination from day one, and you have just done beautifully. I'm so glad. Well done pretty lady!
  2. Jenny doesn't like polls :(
  3. So I asked one of the girls if they were still quit and she said, "now wasn't a good time to try to quit." I said, "it's never a good time to try to quit if you let yourself think like that." I wish like heck they hadn't given up so quickly. No smoker wants to be a smoker. No non smoker wants to be a smoker. No ex smoker wants to be a smoker.
  4. Ran for 45 min in 30 degree weather. Tripped at about minute 30 and came very close to sprawling face first onto pavement. Also ate a twinkie today.
  5. This is huge! Great job, you should be very very proud of yourself.
  6. Great job! Movin' on up!
  7. Tracey you are wonderful! Congrats. Very proud of you.
  8. When I have problems, in my head I think back to what Allen Carr said, (paraphrasing) 'ok you've got a problem, fix it if you can, if you can't, move on. If you've got a problem and you smoke, well, now you have 2 problems.' If you start smoking again over a problem it will never, ever, solve it. It will only add a HUGE problem to the one you already have. And then all the problems that come with being a smoker come back, and my gosh, now you really have problems. Stress rules so many people's lives, and it is indeed something to be dealt with, but smoking makes everything even worse.
  9. Glad you are back with your fam again! I think it would be the coolest to live in either one, England or Australia.
  10. I could be wrong, and I hope I am, but I thought they both smelled like smoke today. Is was sooo busy there wasn't time to talk about anything so it never came up
  11. Love this. So happy for Tracey! I guess the cat is out of the bag, her and I used to date
  12. 2 of the girls I work with quit today. I am trying to cheer them on. I said 'this is the best day of your life!'
  13. Joe you are awesome! It's such a pleasure to be on this journey with you. Very very proud of you.
  14. Hey Rowly! Good to see you. You are never forgotten!
  15. Wonderful! You got this :)
  16. You look young, never too young to quit. What are you going to do with the money you are saving not smoking!
  17. Welcome Bob! We can all empathize and reach out a hand to help. You are amoung like minded people. Posting does help, it kind of keeps one accountable.
  18. I saw the first one and thought it was so so, I haven't read the books though.
  19. Well done lovely lady! So happy for you. And this is just the beginning of your freedom :clapping:
  20. Wow time flies. Very proud of you Mason, just very well done. You should be giving yourself a big pat on the back :)
  21. Right on! You deserve this
  22. I am in agreement, distraction is key. The term 'positive attitude' I find can be sometimes annoy to me, but in this type of situation it will help you so much. Mind over matter.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
