  1. I've never seen SOA and I was terribly unimpressed when they announced he was going to play Christian (I was team Ian all the way). But then I saw this movie that he was in, and since then I also quite like him. I still haven't seen SOA though http://www.amazon.com/Ledge-Liv-Tyler/dp/B00561BNHW/ref=sr_1_5?s=movies-tv&ie=UTF8&qid=1423708544&sr=1-5&keywords=charlie+hunnam
  2. Many many congrats Marti! You are an awesome person and I'm so happy for you.
  3. I am so proud of you!! You are one tough cookie.
  4. Nope just coffee.
  5. Welcome! You are going to fit right in here :)
  6. Nope!
  7. Great job! Congrats Dors!
  8. Tonight just finished the one where she knocks on the door where Rick and Carl are. I'm an emotional mess between that and this book 4 of The Mageri series that has me to the point I have had to set it aside 3 times this week because of the heartbreak. The hits just keep on coming in this one. I am almost hesitant to rec this series b/c I don't wish this on anyone, the black hopelessness. I just wish things would turn around already because I know they will...
  9. Nothin wrong with that! I've been on this diet for about 3 weeks and now that I've cut out sweets I'm totallllly boring. Down to coffee and diet soda.
  10. Have fun but stay focused on the quit. I used the gum to quit and when I stopped using it, I feared I would go through physical withdrawal...but it never happened. I never felt any. 10 days is excellent!! BUT you have many years of addiction to unlearn. So ultimately it's up to you when you are ready to drink etc, life does need to go on. Just please remember smoking ruins your health and wealth and you deserve better than continuing being a slave to the addiction. And you don't need to pay the big tobacco fat cats tons of money for the privilege of killing yourself slow, not anymore.
  11. I just ate a grilled cheese sandwich, am now painting my nails grey with shimmer overlay and watching TWD on Netflix. And drinking water with lemon.
  12. I never had any desire to read them, but I received the first book as a birthday present. First one was 'good,' second 'ok,' third was 'fair at best.' I have no intention of ever seeing the movie. I have a thousand better recs.
  13. Happy Birthday E! Hope you have a great day. Nope.
  14. I like that first video of Joel's. It's important to have that mindset. He said in reference to staying quit regardless of anyone else, "Even if I take up smoking." That cracked me up a bit. Your own quit is first and foremost. Give and receive all the support in the world, but guard that quit. There are two women at my office that have bad, and I mean bad, smoker's coughs. I feel so bad for them but they are outside ALL the time. So not only are they not very productive, but that constant awkward cough that cannot be missed by everyone is enough to keep me on the straight and narrow. I wish that they would realize life does not have to be this way. They are always talking about 'allergies and colds.' It's so sad to see.
  15. I ran 2.5 miles today, did first day of Insanity (after fitness test), and watched an episode and a half of TWD on stair stepper. Just past 3 week mark on diet. I'd be happy with 7, but would not mind losing 12 lbs total. I am not sure if I will be able to walk tomorrow, I'm already sore, and that is not a good sign. Especially since I have worked out most days for years. May need to contact the medics if I cannot get out of bed tomorrow.
  16. Have my 5 dollar clearance 'never say monday' tee shirt on. And I mean it.

  17. I never listened either. Hopefully she took at least some of it to heart, if even to come back to and then quit.
  18. Nope. All day long. Mike, hope to see ya here today :)
  19. Congrats! Presents to oneself at milestones are important. Especially since you have all that money now not set afire ;-)
  20. This is HUGE! Very well done. You have the right mindset. Great job to you. :)
  21. Jackie I am so glad to see you you lovely thing! I know you can do this.
  22. Nope from Nebraska. And it's freezing. A week ago I was jogging outside in 50 degree weather.
  23. Woo hoo congrats Colleen. I am so happy for you! You rock!
  24. I quit smoking at the 20 year mark myself. It *is* doable. Love Allen Carr. Welcome and congrats. Learn as much as you can about this addiction, knowledge will help you so much.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
