  1. Ha. Ha. I'd die
  2. Cpk, I remember closing in at 8 months into my quit I was still sometimes feeling like I was jumping out of my skin and wondering, 'will this oral fixation ever go away?' I listen to a lot of youtube meditations and audibles. I hear yoga is good but so far I've hated it. There is nothing - but nothing - that helps like running though. It just helps make things seem a little better. I like burning the calories and all, but I mostly run just for the mental health side of it.
  3. Geeeez it's Monday whaddya expect
  4. Bakon you arrest any jaywalkers today?
  5. We need all newbies to check in asap. We need Nancy to translate bakon talk. We need MQ to speak up. We need Evelyn to keep up the positivity. We need Ginger to put bakon in his place. I'm watching a show on Scientology ... Any Scientologists in the group?
  6. Very well done madam ! :D
  7. Let's make today be the first day of taking control of our lives. You can't change the past, but you can change right now, and decisions you make from here on out. It's never too late. So long as we are still above ground there is hope! :preved:
  8. Erik, have you read Allen Carr's book? It truly taught me how to process and handle things (happily even) as a non smoker. I really would not be where am I am had I not read it. (Over and over.) I had panic attacks almost weekly before I quit, but I can count on one hand how many I've had since I quit. ETA: 4 months is a great achievement!
  9. This is friggin awesome!! This is seriously amazing. I'm in awe. I usually give up somewhere between 3.5 and 4.25 miles.
  10. I want to read this then.
  11. I want in too! I easily fall off the diet wagon as well. I have not been very good this last two weeks. And did it make me happy? No, not really. I struggle with feeling sooo deprived when I'm on a "diet" (cry me a river, I know.) I have been traveling or working from home the 5 weeks, and will be for another few weeks, so it's been a bit more of a challenge than usual. Anyway. I have made a commitment to myself to start fresh today, and for the love of Pete, to not mess it up again. Time to quit fooling around.
  12. This is a really big deal! So happy for you, from here on out it really is pretty smooth sailing. Very well done :)
  13. Time to get offa my tush and hit the gym

  14. . What are you up to this weekend Jenny?
  15. I got a peel this afternoon, can't wear makeup til tomorrow so I will be working out at home tonight. On the plus side, the nurse who did it (not joking it was a nurse) said, "at least you are coming in early, so that when you hit 35 you will already have your skin care under control." Cough. It's been a long time since I saw 35 in the rear view mirror.

    Ummmm
  17. True!! All of it. These last few weeks I've been wayyy out of my comfort zone with my new job and traveling and having to meet and try and make a good impression on so many people. (Tough stuff for a misanthrope.) And it's been fine - better than fine.
  18. Jackie hugs!! Just remember how amazing you are!!
  19. Happppy birthday madam! Hope it's a great one!
  20. Wells Fargo lets you pick any pic you want...it was between her and Buffy. Thought I'd mix it up a bit.
  21. I will never forget when I first quit and met you in chat and was so intimidated by your long quit and I had barely begun...you were so patient and encouraging :)
  22. I celebrated by running 3.5 miles. Why? Because now I can. ;)
  23. Sonic, you are awesome!! Congrats!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
