  2. 6 months is really nothing short of amazing :) P.s I always knew you were a girl. The whole mouse in the house thing. :D :D
  3. Pippa!! Congrats :D. Just very well done. Very happy for you and the cats.
  4. Maybe I should have said Wheezy Peasy! See, there is my joke for the day.
  5. 99 or 100, if it's not it will be soon. Like I told MQ, if this site helps save one person's life...then it was all worth it in the end. That is the goal. It's for anyone thinking about quitting smoking or who has quit and wants to stay quit. And if we have a few laughs along the way, well, all the better.
  6. Isn't it amazing to realize we can do what we never thought we could?
  7. Today I started running again. I've been recovering from eye surgery, so when I work out even still - almost 6 wks later- my vision goes partial whiteout, and I'm insanely busy at work....and just burnt out. So today I MADE time to take a lunch and went to the company gym. I ran for 22 min and did Jacob's ladder for 10 and my gosh, by the time I was done I was wheezing. (For only like 2 min or so but still!) It's amazing how quickly one can fall out of shape. What was soooo easy for me, I'm having to start over on. I don't want to have to start over again, I'm going to stick with it. Kinda like quitting smoking. *At least I haven't gained any weight since Christmas, even without the strict workout regime. But I really have to watch what I eat, and that ain't no fun for anybody.
  8. Can never have too many scents! I have a cinnamon clove candle from B&BW burning now
  9. Juan :) Many congrats. You are on your way. I can tell how driven you are!
  10. Glad to hear it Amy :) It's not a cakewalk right off the bat for all of us by any means, but it's certainly not the big baddie we all had been conditioned to believe. If you haven't read Allen Carr, his book/audible was sooo comforting to me at first. I had the Easy Way on audible and Easy Way for women on kindle. (My hb read the easy way for women, haha. But he still took a lot from it, I've seen this man read like 5 books in the last 14 years and this was one of them.) Whenever I had nagging feeling I was missing something, I'd pick it up and start reading, or turn on the audible. Didn't matter where I was in it, it calmed me down.
  11. Welcome! Wonderful to meet you. Very good job on an awesome quit. :D
  12. Welcome and congrats on the great decision to quit smoking! Use whatever tools necessary to help your success! My hb quit smoking using an e cig, he didn't end up using it for long, but he's almost a year smoke free now.
  13. Do you...by chance...take smiley requests?
  14. I haven't been on long today, but I was keeping an eye out for an Amy and IamDoingit check in. I may just not have found it yet. Thinking of you guys, We have all been there! Doing ok?
  15. I am totally not kidding - I just got the chills. So much better to be healthy and not have to deal with all the stress smoking causes.
  16. Soon I hope, soon!! You just lemme know when you are ready for the next rec's :D
  17. Keep up the great work! Nothing but good things for you from here on out :)
  18. I agree with everyone! You do what works best, there is no quit that is better than another :)
  19. And quality of life too. Ugh. I hate cigs!
  20. Chicken breast, broccoli, and white rice. Boring! But I had a bunch of 'pop chips' after and they were quite good.
  21. I have a order of 'sugar' lotion, wash and body spray on the way. I have not smelled it before so I am hoping I will love it! 'Jet set' is kind of a zen spa scent I love too. You try that one? I have 'bananaberry' going in the warmer now. But I digress.....
  22. I'm going to have to start sneaking some of these smileys for myself! ;-)
  23. All my best friends still smoke. And they tell me that I give them hope. No one *wants* to be a smoker. When I am the odd man out not smoking, I just remind myself that there is no choice to debate over, because I took smoking off the table as an option a long time ago. Friend gave me a scarf as a belated birthday present a few weeks ago. I know we've all smelled like smoke before, but that scarf about knocked me over. I would not say a thing because I would not want to make her feel bad, but wow. It's not good. So glad we don't have to worry that we smell like that anymore
  24. Cherry vanilla and candy apple are my faves scentsies!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
