  1. Look at you! You’re at 3 months today! I hope you’re celebrating x
  2. Mine are certainly up there - don’t know how she managed it but they’re very thick suddenly …. Day 13. Feel a bit out of sorts but no cigarettes for sure! Golf today and book club tonight!
  3. Hi brioski sorry you’ve been having cravings but it’s great that you recognize what they are and also how good you feel! Maybe you talk about failing just because we are used to failing at this! I’m the same - I warn ppl close to me that I may start again - I won’t because I’m not going through this again! you are doing so well - keep it up.
  4. Brioski you are doing so well! We all have really hard days but I can’t imagine being at nearly 3 months! You have beaten this thing - how great is that? you have helped me from the first day - and I have a long way to go! Keep on keeping on.
  5. Oh if only I had saved it - spent it all at lululemon yesterday…. but at least that’s 260 cigarettes that I haven’t tried to kill myself with! Weight is increasing by the day, but have eaten cleanish today. Need to start a long evening walk to keep me out of the kitchen
  6. Day 11. Feel like I’m doing ok - no real dangerous times- I do have bad spells but it’s like I’ve taken smoking off the table as even an option…. still going to bed early and not being much fun but have loads more energy and love love love not smoking! the support of ppl on here has made so much difference .
  7. Well eyebrows seem scary after 6 months of invisible ones!
  8. Day 10 - a bleak day weather wise and mood wise. A bit of a craving going on - not gonna give in so out for a walk with the dog then a hair appointment. Eyebrows could also do with some work! think today may need to be about just keeping busy.
  9. Hi Darcy I’m new. live tried and failed so many times to quit cigarettes - the only thing I’m good at is making sure that every Monday that comes around, I try to quit again! It soon gets very boring going through day 1 a million times…. im now on day 9 - furthest I’ve got for years. Please don’t give up giving up - if I can make it to day 9 anybody can. the only thing I’m completely clear on is that I will not smoke a cigarette today - I didn’t get the nope at first but I get it now - I sign up and then no matter how bad things are - I cannot smoke that day (I’m usually strongest in the morning). Hope to see you back here doing great x
  10. Hello day 9. Just sitting here in bed - would normally be really coughing badly and nose would be streaming - today I am just sitting here with no desire to smoke again - watching my savings grow bigger. Cleaned out my car yesterday - I have the old runaround that was our smoking car! Gross! I set off some smoke elimination bomb in it yesterday and it’s much more pleasant now - lots of positive steps over the last 9 days - thanks to all of you for your support
  11. You are so close to 3 months - how great is that? I want to be here to congratulate you!
  12. It was nice to have an easier day - that’s for sure - one of those days where you feel just how good it is to not be tied to cigarettes! And already 199 cigarettes saved - that’s crazy!
  13. Thanks Gus! I’m a bit proud too but still cautious! today was an easy day - maybe 10 craves but not bad as I was busy all day. Looking forward to tomorrow- feeling so much more full of energy - I like that bit. Brioski - I know what you mean - things feel so different not smoking - and despite the craves etc, things feel better - not always mixed in with popping out for a smoke -and I do not miss the morning coughing. Hope you are having a good day today.
  14. Still feeling flat - I remember this from a previous quit - a bit like what is the point! BUT I know the point - have decided to at least give it another week and hope it improves a bit. how-are you Brioski? Coming up for 3 months soon! Doyoufeel like a true non-smoker? I put on 5lbs in one week so now need to get my backside out to exercise more and quit eating so much.I need to drink more water and start walking when I’m craving …. thanks Doreen’s-free - still a flaky newbie but really happy i managed a week - especially with easy access to cigarettes. I think if I can get to 3 weeks, I’ll feel a little bit more confident that it may stick - one day at a time
  15. Yesterday was tough but here we are at day 7
  16. She’s about16 miles southwest of Manhattan- you too - enjoy the nicer weather
  17. Your life is sounding pretty good tbh -ok you have some crappy bits mixed in but don’t we all? The folding laundry story sounds just so cosy and relaxing and wow you don’t smell of smoke! I get the craving - really do - but I don’t want a cigarette. Unlike you I still crave a lot …. and a beautiful pool to look forward to! Life is good
  18. Definitely sign up - you learn so much and meet some usually great people. hope you’re doing well and not missing the cancer sticks…. my sister lives in New Jersey - lovely part of the world

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
