  7. Sorry - cold turkey here as well, but I did have some NRT lozenges that made me feel better early on. As it ended up, once I knew what to expect by reading/watching videos here on the train. The encouragement and support of all the other passengers, I never ended up using them at all ...... wifee took them back and got me cake! All the best in your quit, if I can do it anyone can do it.

  20. Hi everyone With only a couple weeks quit, just a couple things I was just thinking about: When I wake in the morning I am not coughing. When I am sleeping, I can actually breath out of my nose, I never even knew being so stuffed up was caused by cigarettes'. I don't have to wash my hands the very last thing before getting into bed, because they no longer stink. I seem to have more energy, but still feel a little disconnected. Everything tastes different, almost like trying every dish for the first time to see if I like it. All good things - thanks for everyone's help and support!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
