  1. U go girl….and Dor’s right the weight we’ll focus on later…I’m already overweight and gained and I’ve been to my GP, a cardiologist, and pulmonologist and all of them said the weight is nothing compared to quitting, quitting is immensely better comparing the two (watch in 10 months they’ll be like sooo let’s talk abt your weight). Way to go girl you’re inspiring and helping me! (Yest and today I’ve been craving way more than recently I’m like ? ? what gives…but maybe it’s “the threes” that ppl talk abt bc I’m hearing 3 months. Idk. Lol I’ll maybe mention it in my thread)

  8. You’re in double digit SP!! Heck yea pamper yourself bc u do deserve it. I don’t think I’ve done my eyebrows since Thanksgiving 2021. I wish I was joking Proud of u girl
  9. I’m still here Leap There were def some tough days for me as u can see by my SOSs. An amazing friend here Jillar used a “JAC” ( Jillar’s air cig” in her quit and I have this straw/cotton thing I call my “BAC” (Brioski air cig)…and u know what, it helps a ton, along w other tools you gather on your tool belt. I’m still a newbie but I think I’m starting to gain my sea legs. Im happy for u Leap, it’s a scary process to think about but once u just do it it’s way less scary.
  10. I’m the same way Leap…or I was the same way? At night I would say no more and morning was right back to it. I literally made myself and said out loud “I’m walking to and sitting at the computer…couch…dining room table…”etc. and did stuff to keep occupied…read news, quit train, TikTok, my mom who quit did Facebook, song pop, online games. Some stuff to get your mind off of it. After a while it’s 10am, 12 pm, 2 pm, 4…dinner time, reading/online stuff/iPad, then bed. Idk how to explain it but even though there was craves it was motivation to keep going each day as the hours/minutes went by, eventually days. Don’t get me wrong it sucked, but u do get through the craves. These ppl here help a TON too…they’re literal angels

  20. SP I totallyyyyy had the same feeling…what’s the point of continuing…I want to get back to normal, etc….it totallyyy goes away tho girl….please trust me. And you’re totally right…one day at a time. To be honest, no, I don’t feel like a nonsmoker….but I am, lol. I do feel way good though in terms of breathing, anxiety, it’s almost like I’m viewing/experiencing life as I want to/intended to but never did when I was smoking, idk I know that sounds weird sorry. And don’t worry abt the weight….I gained a lot too (and I’m already of a hefty stature lol). We’ll lose it soon. You’re doing amazing girl reward yourself big

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
