  1. Rowlyd you know something very important about your addiction, it resides in the same emotional part of your brain as anger. Rather than let that part of your brain decide to smoke, you need to have the rational part of your brain make the decision not to. Make sure the rational part has the final say. Don't allow yourself to make any more quick decisions about smoking. When your brain says, "Let's go get a cigarette" you have to say to yourself, "I'm going to calm down and think about it first."

  16. We are addicts, there is no such thing as one. He could have been handing you ten thousand smokes. Next time he tries that stunt drop his cigarette in the bin (trash) and when he retrieves it, and he will, tell him nicotine has enslaved him so much that he'll smoke things straight from the bin (trash). Nicotine owns his ass.
  17. And a cigarette won't help, it will just put you through all of this again; it's best to just keep going!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
