  8. Way to go Joe! It's nice to be at a point where you measure quitting in years and decades instead of minutes and hours.

  13. One day you simply accept the fact that you aren't going to smoke again. The mental struggle will fall away and you will be free. Come back and tell us when this happens for you, it's magic.
  14. You have to push the idea of smoking out of your head. The quicker you dismiss these thoughts, the easier it will be. I used to tell myself "move on, I not going to smoke". A positive attitude will ease the struggle. You don't have to smoke, you are free. Keep going.
  15. Sazerac suggested that instead of thinking about a cigarette, quitters should look for: This is good advice for all of us.

  23. Good job Bakon!
  24. Embrace the change. You can do it.
  25. It matters to us; it's why we are here. No one deserves the damage smoking does. It's not always easy to quit but it is always worth it.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
