  1. I'm going to live with 5 other people and this is support home for psychiatric / mental help home, which many are allowed to smoke IN THEIR ROOM. If the person on my level, smoked it will be smelled through the hall, maybe even in my room. Anyone knows what to do when my room starts smelling as an ashtray? Ok another point of (small) worry is when we barbecue in summer and they smoke outside, I MIGHT get temped .BUT I don't have any expriences there so trigger will be less and I'll just have to distance me mentally from the smokers, observe them how the need to smoke and i am FREE. Despreatly they inhale, cough,' yummy how noce those cigarettes. Want another one? Me? No thanks I don't smoke' :D OK and then there's Always NOPE, no matter what NO DISCUSSION!!! But my cynical conversation above pretty much predicts how it will go... :P
  2. Sticky quit means you got it and that you protect your quit no matter what. NOT ONE PUFF EVER, no matter what... scream, kick in the walls cry, hide in a closet but do not light that cancerstick!!! If you have this mindset. You can get major setbacks, break-ups, arguements, illness, sad news a relative who passes, but you do not smoke and you know why? Because it will not do ANYTHING for you, accept creating another problem, because in the end you want to quit anyway and there's no such thing as one puff, or jus 'one cig' those are junkie thinking we need to expose Ok, lot of info sorry
  3. Yeah 'the other place' is another quit forum, after day 1 i was asked here
  4. Well I was asked in this place, and intuitivly this group felt better
  5. This is a diffferent support forum I've encountered: people have strong quits and stick around to help newbies it's just about 'me, me, me' it's a group process. These people witnessed me growing, having sticky quit and it was because of there's something, more supportive in this group. For me praying helped a lot. Gained weight, yeehee :( but I'd never want to go back to smoking

I saw my mom quiting age 57 throatcancer and half a year after 'cancerfree' they found a tumor in her lungs, that on the size had been there already with the throatcancer!!! Makes me also angry why not screen someone with throatcancer and smoking screening on lungcancer with one single X-ray. lost energy, both parents died lungcancer.
