  2. I cut back on sugar and try to eat more in between but as soon as I come here and see the 'quit with newyear' topic etc. This mental craving fools me.... just one... Quit with al those other new year quitters of course while I type this out I realise how STUPID it sounds and that's why I didn't put an sos but just a topic. That mental cravings are bitch' and if 'I' don't unraffle them I screw the best quit I ever had! So here's my unraffling thoughts. Ow and big fat NOPE

  9. ok, thanks Wendy LOL now I when I see it I remember how it's spelled!
  10. Some parts of the Netherlands, the south and more inlands have real snow that stays on the ground but I'm close to sea and YES it snows but it's actually a mix of rain and snowflakes, us Dutch call that litterally 'wet snow'. Everybody wants a white Christmas and Santa probably got mixed with the dates LOL Earlier this day I felt horrible, that vacuüm-effact after such days, the silence but I put myself on my feet, went 4 times on my bike to the market (forgot stuff) and I LOVED not being afraid of sweating that my patch would 'fall off', at home I took my woolen socks and my thermo- shirt under my 'bear- sweater' Okay it has no ears but it is a fluffy, cozy, warm vest. Okay I'm drifting away, so sorry but at least the newbies will be distracted.
  11. I fooled myself soooo often with pills, nicotine gums, sprays or patches and in the end I needed to make a choice. Of course sometimes I think What the hell but then I realise for the first time I pulled through cold turkey (with a huge support of our Lord) and I do not NEED nicotine; the fear that has always kept my hostage. No more excuses, no more nicotine replacements shit and go for it; that is what I did and I did drink A LOT of senseo size tea or decaf with LOTS of sugar but I pulled through and now I don't need the sugar any more just half a tea spoon in SOME of my drinks. GO for it and kick some ass!
  12. Yes but I had to prove I could do it CT, I HAD TO, to MYSELF. Those 3 months were not real, now I'm truly 4 days and 19 hours nicotinefree!
  13. I already got paracetamol and something for my throat... men men men I am soooo tired and it's not even 2:30 PM
  14. My throat is sore, just not well. some couphing (how do you spell that) is this the result of of my no longer using nicotine. or just a co-incedence
  15. NOPE!!!!
  16. friends here they leave at 10 pm and I'm tired

  17. We have got a 2th Christmas 2, 26th December. Where the only country as far as I know that has this....
  18. Hope everyone had a good time. It's morning here again. So NOPE.
  19. I did it... faced my fears. Quit cold turkey. I'm far from reaching my old (phony) 3 months but I proved and faced it. I feel so much better without nicotine... I finally had the courage and faith to pull through. If only I had known it was bearable to pull it off. Thanks everybody and apologies for not taking this step earlier.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
