    Non Smoking Cats

Had to hide this picture from my cats, they really love tuna. I use tuna to get cats to come to me all the time, let's hope it works.
  2. Another way to promote this website is to put links to this website from your own personal website if you happen to have one. It is good for lots of other websites to link here, the search engines admire that. :)
  3. You'll have to ask one of the admins, they will know how to fix it. I'm just a marketing geek here, don't know technical stuff LOL
  4. Welcome Becca to the Quit Train, I'm a newbie at quitting smoking so I guess you can be a new mentor for me. I like the non smoking cats thread as well.
  5. Great marketing, I'll be sure to share the FB page with my buds. I think it is the facebook page that is getting the newbies right now. We are not on Google yet and our new member rate is as good as anyone elses out there. Or at least that is my observation.
  6. So is that picture of you in your avatar before or after you quit smoking?
  7. It is a tough job promoting a new website on the Internet. It can take months and even years for a website to be read by the search robots, especially if there are no meta tags or other interlinks to the major search engines on the website. MQ and I are working on getting the meta tags plugged into this site. When he is finished, it should not take very long before Quit Train comes up with the common keywords on the major search engines. Everything that has been posted to date will finally be visible to Google and Yahoo and you have yourselves to thank for that. We're going to be famous :)
  8. You are alright Soberjulie, keep the "quit smoking" quit.
  9. In my efforts to promote this website, I have been spending a lot of time on Google and Yahoo. There seems to be a cold war regarding quit methods. I quit cold turkey so don't know what to think about all of the other methods available. The taboo "e-cig" seems to be the subject of most of the conflict. Would anyone like to elaborate?
  10. My reward for quitting smoking :)
  11. Is this still true today? I'm pretty sure the troops got free cigarettes in world war one and two.
  12. Just a reminder in case you have not quit smoking cigarettes yet. LOL
  13. I don't know what to believe or not to believe about quitting smoking cigarettes. I quit, I believe it, NOPE
  14. I quit smoking, I was disgusted with it.
  15. That's us! I don't see too many people call these quit smoking forums, "smoking cessation message boards", maybe it has something to do with spelling cessation right? I don't think it sounds as smooth as "quit smoking messag board", but what do I know?
  16. Hi Amy, Welcome to the Quit Train, you are amoung good company here, lot's of support and you can have fun too :)

My parents are from Canada, does that make me a fallen Canadian?
  18. http://www.startrek.com/watch_episode/5C5I64GkpalT "In the mean time, let me give you some free advice, just to show you I'm on your side, you people should take better care of yourselves, stop poisoning your bodies with tobacco and atom bombs." - Quark (Star Trek Deep Space Nine - Little Green Men) This episode is not only funny, but it pokes fun at smoking, makes it look stupid. LOL
  19. No more burning holes in my clothes, and no more oh schlitz, panic, did it go in the back seat.

I guess it's just you and me bakon? I don't see eggs anywhere
  21. I don't know, two letter combination keywords are almost as hard to get as for "cigarette", I'm betting on "quit smoking message board" or "quit smoking forum". The more words in the keyword the better in my experience. We'll see, I've been wrong before.
  22. Which keyword do you think will show up on Google first?

I beleive in the advancement of eggs.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
