  2. How to eat boiled crawfish: "Pinch the tail and suck the head"
  3. Hint: TAC is CAT spelled backwards. 900SE is the name of my car and it has been known to lay an egg here and there. I've always wondered if eggs were actually women in the bakon & egg world, does anyone know?
  4. Congratulations man of action!
  5. Sorry, this thread is just for cold turkeys LOL Just kidding, but I quit cold turkey and it worked for me. Any other turkeys out there?
  6. Congratulations Marti, great quit job.
  7. Officials at the train station spotted this person selling eggs at the train station earlier today. Witnesses claim that they smelled bakon cooking as they approached the egg shaped kiosk.
  8. Headline news............. Officials at the Quit Train train station caught this person scalping tickets: If you see this person please contact Quit Train management.
  9. Allrighty then, I'll put something together about the weight restrictions on airplanes if you are carrying too much navel lint LOL
  10. Lint? Do you mean navel lint or lint in general?
  11. Maybe we can call it the JWG railroad.
  12. The telecommunications company "Sprint" has it's roots in the train business. The name Sprint was taken from their mother company at the time Southern Pacific Railroad. Sprint laid fiber optics along side their tracks nationwide to become the first mega sized fiber optic telecommunications company.
  13. Congratulations! You've got a great quit going on.
  14. Back in the 70's, when I was in aerospace, the company I worked for made ash trays for planes and trains. They were deep drawn stainless steel and each ashtray was hand finished. In 2002 I was in sales and wandered into a factory in Reno that made the same ashtrays as we made back then. Thinking to myself, I couldn't figure out why ashtrays were still made for airplanes and trains when they were no longer used. So I asked the factory owner what the deal was and he told me an interesting story. Apparently the FAA requires that ALL planes have ALL the original equipment right down to the ashtrays and seat cushions used as flotation devices to remain certified to fly. Granted, most of the seats in the passenger sections have been replaced by modern seating without ashtrays, but the pilot's compartments are still original equipment, hence the shop I visited specialized in pilot's compartment ashtrays and made a good living at it. Guess all they are good for now is gum wrappers and bakon's broken egg shells. ;)
  15. Congratulations! horray :)

  23. Good to have you aboard the Quit Train Carol. There are many members here with far more experience than me with your method of quitting but either way, it's good to see you trying to quit that nasty habit.
  24. There are five pages with 20 members each including MQ who is technically not a member maybe.
  25. There are 20 members on page five, please don't tell me I counted wrong.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
