  1. It is about 5:30pm here, I used to travel back and forth to Australia and you are about 8 or 9 hours behind us, a day ahead. Or the other way around, we are 8 or 9 hours ahead of you, a day behind. And we do sleep, but I don't think MQ ever does, he's a machine LOL
  2. We actually get very little rain fall as a rule here in Northern Nevada, it is very dry most of the time and tough on the throat for people just moving here. We also get a lot of wind which I hate.
  3. I've experienced so many earthquakes living in and around California that I look forward to them. Does that mean I'm a sicko?
  4. Good Sunday morning Soozie, it's still cold here and I think it might snow again tonight. Have you ever experienced an earthquake? I've experienced about 6 quakes greater than 7.0.

    I'm a dick

I think that tomorrow morning you're going to feel a lot worse about your hangover than smoking a couple of nasty cigarettes.

    I'm a dick

You're not a dick, you are human, and you are allowed to make mistakes. If anything you are a brave human and like the rest of us, capable of fixing your mistakes. We are here to support you in your roller coaster journey, not judge you. I have been where you are, over and over again, as well as many others on this forum. If it makes you feel any better get Jonny to kick your butt with some karate moves but I truly don't think it will help. Just get back on the train and start again.
  7. I can diagnose engine trouble just by touching it, listening to it, and smelling the exhaust.
  8. I can moon walk.
  9. I can dance the Macarena.
  10. I had no idea it was this bad.
  11. I can see it, try reloading, it's a cartoon pic of Scooby doo.
  12. Back on the horse or back on the train? I'm confused
  13. No doubt, you must be brave to fight the devil and strong to keep the devil from kicking in your door.
  14. I found the video with the man teaching his infant to smoke. I am still in shock. (I can copy and post the video here but am not sure it would be appropriate or moral) But on the other hand, watching that video has seriously reinforced my quit.
  15. You are very brave Trish to post about your relapse. A weaker person would have just jumped off the train and walked off into oblivion. So are you prepared to quit again? If so, forget the past, get your mind set and do it. I have faith that you will succeed one day.

    Game *The Food Game*

Eggs Benedict (What is Dulce de leche?)
  17. No, that's the Los Angeles basin, a long way from the state line mountain range. Some day Los Angeles will probably fall off into the ocean along with the Hollywood sign and Carson City/Las Vegas will be coastal towns LOL.
  18. The sun is out now, finally, and the snow is melting fast. There was only a dusting but snow it was indeed.
  19. If you look closely at the map you will see there is a mountain range along most of the California - Nevada boarder. The Lake Tahoe area is a good example of this with mountains as high as 8 to 10,000 feet.
  20. We are at 5,000 feet, high desert, and yes, the climate in California is very much like southern most Australia. Nevada is next door to California but our climate differences are like night and day because of our higher elevation.
  21. I've never been in Australia in the winter time, just until early May in Sydney once in the late nineties. I hear that skiing is not a big sport in Australia because you don't have seriously high mountains there, is that right?
  22. I'm in Carson City Nevada and there is real honest to goodness snow on the ground here, must have been last night.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
