  1. In that case keep on him, be relentless, and kick his butt if you can. Coming from a sales perspective, PERSISTENCE is the key, so don't let up. You are his friend, and that's what friends are for.
  2. I agree, motivation can come from multiple directions including from the nicodemon. Commitment is absolute and what I have endevoured to maintain.
  3. That is sad, do you think you can help him?
  4. My ex wife used to get cluster headaches, serious migraines that used to make her crawl in a corner and cry. I just found out that she quit about a year ago and my grandkids tell me that her headaches have practically gone away just like yours. Perhaps smoking is partially responsible for migraines. This is new information and should be made public, are there any other members who have had this wonderful revelation?
  5. This is a very strong message, no pun intended, but wow. I need to ask you, is it physical strength you speak of or mental strength? I always thought they were different.
  6. Damned Markus, I was just getting to know you, and now you're going away. I am sad, but happy for you on your new venture. Please don't be a stranger, you are welcome here any time, and I like surprises. I anticipate that you will say hello from time to time.
  7. The Motor home is finally here, unfortunately the previous owner was a smoker. No worries though, I'm so happy I could just cry.
  8. First, thank you for posting and not walking away. Second, what did you learn? Third, how can we help you get back to your quit, and how can we help you stay with your quit?
  9. It is amazing how different people's perspectives are.

  15. I'm so happy, I'm in tears.

  23. In the short time the Quit Train has been around we have had many new quitters and a handful of relapses. I don't endorse relapsing but I am encouraged by the positive and constructive support the members here have given to those who have. Someone who relapses could just walk away and never be heard from again, but I don't see that happening here on the Quit Train. Cudos to everyone for making this the best quit smoking support forum on the Internet.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
