  3. It's 5 years later, why am I still thinking about this!?
  4. Lol!!! Definitely not
  5. "Is he still doing acrobatics with the microphone stand ?" Pretty much!!
  6. I've seen Elton too, yeah he's great but does just sit and sing so a different show altogether. I'd definitely recommend seeing Rod! It's crazy how much energy he has at 71, he didn't stop for over 2 hours!
  7. So last night I went with my mum to see Rod Stewart in Cardiff. I'm not really a fan (his music is OK but obviously not really my generation) but my mum is, so I bought her tickets last Christmas. I've got to say, he is a legend (Sir Rod!), it was an amazing concert start to finish. I'm now a Rod Stewart fan and definitely want to see him again in the future. I've been to a couple concerts before which were also brilliant but Rod really stands out. He is energetic, his voice is still fantastic and he comes across as a down to earth genuinely nice guy. I now love Sir Rod!!!!
  8. Not really into football and can't watch tonight (going to Cardiff to see Rod Stewart with my mum :) ) but ... come on England!!!!!!
  9. 24 please?
  10. Definitely do this asap! Welcome to the board :)
  11. Mine are in, no idea how many!
  12. Once you realise you're only causing yourself hurt by having to begin your quit again and again you'll get it. The anxiety and wondering "can I do this" will go away, if you just keep hold of your quit. Personally I'd never want to start this over and over (and I had an 'easy' quit!).

    This weekend

In the pub at this exact moment! :) Tomorrow night I'm out for a meal with family. Sunday I'm not sure ... Monday sleeping!! :D Hope you have a good long weekend!
  14. I have no wise words...just don't stick something in your mouth and light it! Smoking is not an option.
  15. My mum uses an ecig, she's 67 and her copd is 95% better. She can breath better and walk much further without getting out of breath. I'm all for them if used like my mum does. :) (Only cold turkey worked for me but each to their own) Ps didn't even realise about the cig laws here but all good if it stops someone starting.
  16. I'm very happy, it's Friday, work is finished and I have wine! Plus I have nothing to do this weekend!!! Happy Friday all!
  17. Here! :)
  18. I've been back in the UK since Nov 2014
  19. I quit smoking on August 30th 2013 and I'm more happy now than I've ever been, I'm free! It's an odd feeling though, I often switch between these feelings: I honestly can't believe/remember that I was ever a smoker I can't believe that I actually managed to quit smoking (& so easily too!) They kinda contradict each other but that's honestly how I feel! I should also mention that my subconscious is apparently still a smoker because I STILL smoke in my dreams, it's never really the subject of the dream anymore but it's quite often in the background. The smoking dreams don't bother me, I'm just happy that my subconscious is the only place I'd ever think about smoking again. Quitting smoking definitely doesn't have to be hard (just ask Sarge - easy peasy) and it's 100% easier than living with the consequences of smoking. I don't post or visit here nearly as often as I should but just wanted to write how I feel at 2.5yrs free = Happy.
  20. No idea how many mine is but in they go x
  21. Oh the quit train couple are getting married????? I feel like I should buy a hat! :D congratulations both x
  22. Definitely smoked free! Never going back to that!
  23. Thanks all! Sorry I haven't popped in, no excuses.:)

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
