  9. WTH! Purple should be winning!
  10. Good to meet you and welcome to the QT! You are doing wonderfully! Keep marching forward.
  11. Welcome to the QT Rob! Congrats on your decision to quit smoking. Well done!
  12. Welcome to the forum Tony! Quitting smoking may not be a walk in the park but it does get easier. Don't let fear of life without smoking keep you from quitting. The fear is just the addiction talking. You're used to living your life with cigarettes and it's hard to let go, but I promise there is a wonderful nosmo life waiting for you! It just takes time. Let us know what we can do to help.
  13. That's a heck of a long vacation! Good for her. :)
  14. I'll miss you. Please know that you can come back anytime. Anytime.

I wondered when/if you'd notice. It's really hard to incite a riot on this site. lol
  17. Wendy, where are you? The monkey is gone so now I'm worried. Hope all is well.
  18. I had nausea for the first hour or so after taking chantix. Fortunately it would not last all day. Stale tasting cigarette sounds like the work of chatix to me starting to have an effect.
  19. No, no. Just keep marching kid. Adding something else to the mix won't help. I promise it won't. You're just in the bargaining stage. It gets better.
  20. I'm all about that poll, 'bout that poll....
  21. Bologna with american cheese & mustard on white bread. Horrible for you but so gooooooddd!
  22. YAY Beth! Miss you around here! xx
  23. How many are there! Some of you are sneaky hiding behind other names...Let's get a count! Me, that's 1! Who's next...
  24. It was a couple of weeks for me when I noticed that I was smoking less and wasn't getting the "high" from it I usually would. Not too dramatic but still noticeable. Who knows how chantix affects Monkeys...... :P Your results could be different.
  25. Welcome Jen! Love the name :P Take it easy on yourself right now. There is no shame in crying! I cried myself silly in the beginning weeks. The important thing is to keep marching forward no matter what. I promise if you put the work in you will get to a place where you hardly even remember what it was like to smoke. All you have to do is not smoke and your body and mind will begin to heal. Glad you are here! Post as often as you like or need. Everyone here has been or is where you are and wants to help.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
