    Frustrating

Criminals. That's all they are. Very sad example to be setting for future generations.
  11. I didn't get what you meant at first but yes, surrendering to your quit is so much easier. Get to a place of acceptance and you will have peace.
  12. Crying is good, blow pops are good. Scream at the top of your lungs if you want to. Whatever it takes to NOT smoke. That is the goal. It takes time to build a strong quit and it is times likes you posted about here that strengthen it. I am coming up on 3 years and I cried my eyes out daily for months. It was insane! Not like me at all but through it all I got stronger. You will to. Awesome job asking for help. That's how it works. :)

  15. Keep your quit! Michelle, you have to quit eventually and there will never be a day when it doesn't suck in the beginning. That said, doesn't it make more sense to just keep going rather than start again? Get some hard candy, drink a cold glass of water, suck on a straw if you have to but don't smoke. It gets better I promise. If it didn't I would never have made it.

  17. It the seat I don't like........ Glad you had fun Ava. I know several folks who just love to spin.
  18. Phew, Phew PHEW! When I read the title I thought you may have lost your quit and I couldn't breath for just a minute. :) I too am starting down the road to fitness. After many stops and starts to get this weight off since I quit smoking I feel I am finally in a place to make that happen. We can take this journey together too! You are fearless my friend!

    Lincoln.

Black Betty or maybe KIT? Reading your post makes me want to be an egg again. You're a good man Charlie Brown.
  22. You have wonderful insight regarding what it will take to have a successful quit. You know what doesn't work and you know how easy it is to rationlize "just one". I've done that myself so many times in the past. Just one wasn't enough when I did smoke! You've got this! Welcome to the QT and please let us know what we can do to help. Life is so much better without smoking. It really is.
  23. Welcome to the QT Starry! I think you will find your quit to be easier being part of a group committed to the same thing. You will find tons of information on how to have a strong quit that lasts a lifetime. It's also helpful to to your own quit to share what you've learned with the newbies that come after you. Let us know if there is anything we can do. :)
  24. Truer words have never been spoken.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
