  10. Late to party but Welcome Ridley! I hope all is well. If you have fallen off the train, no worries just get back on pronto! I too have never understood the so called "social smokers". I personally think they are, for the most part, closet smokers. My mother was a good example of that. She only smoked at home. If she was at work or anywhere else she didn't smoke at all. That would have driven me crazy! My addiction drove me to extremes. I did some of the most insane things to get my fix. The good news is, if you allow enough time to pass, you'll be avoiding smokers because they stink! Whether or not they smoke all day or just occasionally will not even be on your radar. Glad you are here, let us know how we can help.

  16. So sorry to hear this Crispy. Thinking of you and your family. There are no guarantee's that quitting will prevent us from getting a smoking related disease that is for sure. Can't erase the past but we can make the future, however long it will be, the best and the best is not the constant roller coaster of nicotine addiction. Quit now folks! Life is so much better/easier as a non smoker

  20. If you figure that out let me know. My hair is so bad when I wake up that if there was a fire I would probably stop to fix my hair before evacuating! No need scaring the nice firemen!

  22. I'm no fan of the Government dictating what I can or can't do. Agree with Nancy also that if you can be sent into war as a bullet stopper then you should be able to make your own decisions regarding smoking.

The Duck is right ;) Embrace the suck. It will pass and it won't kill you. A cigarette is not going to help. One just leads to another and another.....You know this. I always think back to when I was smoking and how, even before I finished a cigarette, I was planning the next one. I guess if an addiction can be satisfied it wouldn't be an addiction. If you don't feed the monster it will go to sleep. Keep moving forward. It will get better. xo
  24. Welcome back Jess! You'll probably need to create a new ticker versus resetting the one you have. So good to have you back on the train! Missed you. :)

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
