  6. It was still 88 degrees out, when I I wanted to do my second walk at 7:30 P. I did it, anyway. Took a bottle of water with me and drained it on the trail. Came back with my heart racing, and sweaty as all get out, but that’s the point, isn’t it?

  10. Sorry I missed the party, yesterday, especially if that young hunk with the tatts and rabbit was there…. Huge congrats, @jillar! I am so proud of you. You are an inspiration to me, and are perhaps the person, on here, who I most admire!

Things are looking up in the States. A lot of us have been vaccinated, and I believe that is what is slowing it down. We aren’t completely out of the woods here, but getting closer to back to normal. What a scary time for all of us!

  20. NOPE: NOT TODAY!
  21. Also power walking: 2 twenty minute sessions per day. I have gotten my heart rate up to mid 130’s, which is good for my age. Also, I have lost 8 pounds, since I have started, which is a relief, as I was afraid quitting smoking would cause weight gain. It is starting to get hot, so I am going to buy a treadmill, so I can continue during the heat of Summer.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
