  1. 10 years smoke free is awesome MQ! And thank you so much for the QT. I would not be quit without this place and the people who have been and continue to be a part of it.
  2. Ugh. Life’s changes. I’m sorry for your diagnosis. An anti inflammatory diet helps tremendously also.
  3. I ran across this article this morning and found it very interesting. At least I know why I could eat a pack of Oreos in one sitting now. Fricking Nicodemon scientist engineered them to be so totally irresistible, that’s why! So happy that I haven’t bought any in well over a year. I wonder just how bare my shelves would be if I threw out all of the foodstuffs in them that were made by tobacco owned companies? https://georgiastarnews.com/news/tobacco-company-owned-food-brands-more-tempting-than-competitors-addiction-study/tcsquare/2023/10/02/
  4. OMG If he’d have fanned those smokes in my face it would have been on! Floating like a butterfly and stinging like a bee.
  5. LOL Yeah. Looks real enough to me and I do know some real dumbasses. If enough alcohol is involved, that is.
  6. Add my 36,935 to the fire! Note to self: Don’t hang around and play with it, you might get burned.
  7. Take care @MLMR! Take care to ground and strengthen yourself daily. Get up. Get out. Go forward. Baby steps if you’ve gotta. Then you come back here ready to take giant leaps and bounds to get this addiction done and gone for good. We will be here waiting.

  18. The gift of failure is knowledge if you are wise and you have acknowledged and named some truths here, Stew. Thanks for sharing so that I and others know to remain vigilant in guarding are quits. We are all vulnerable. We like to say we are not, but the truth is that we are human and we all slip up, we all make mistakes.
  19. Niiiice.
  20. @Reciprocity I do hope that your story puts a heavy conviction upon your friend to quit and leave his addictions behind. Cigarettes, weed, and vaping? I feel sorry for him. Maybe check on him in 6-8 weeks to see if he mentions anything? But how did the fishing go? Me too Yoda. Me too. But I will say that I was shut up in a car with a smoking brother and sister last week and I literally got nauseated. My eyes were burning and my throat started hurting. Seriously took a shower, washed my hair, brushed my teeth, and immediately laundered the clothes I had on when I got home. It was bad.
  21. Congratulations Sunshine! 4 years quit is awesome.
  22. Congratulations Garry! 7 years is awesome!
  23. At least you are are ready, willing, and able to try again! You know the drill.

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
