  1. Congratulations on 9 months quit, Kris! It’ll seem like no time at all before you are on the Lido Deck! You are doing great!
  2. Congratulations @catlover! I know that you will be ready to hold those sweet babies as soon as they are home!
  3. Poor Boo. You didn’t even try to break his fall @Doreensfree!
  4. “Smoking is doing nothing for me. It is killing me slowly. Being here these pastfew days has helped me stay the course.” Your words one month ago! I believe you still mean every one of them! You are doing great! Congratulations on a whole months quit!
  5. Thanks everyone! I thought that I would have something profound to say on this day. But. I. Don’t. What I am is truly thankful and grateful for this train and each and every passenger that has ever been and/or is on board her. You have all had a grand affect on me and my quit. I’ve learned something from everyone here. Quitting isn’t easy or pleasant. I’ve had quite a few rough patches but I’ll say 8 or 9 months in—it was done. I was done. I’ve had no real issues or triggers since then. I’m just done with it. I used to smoke. I don’t smoke anymore.
  6. Will do!!! Looking forward to it!
  7. @DenaliBlues You. Are. Hilarious. Thank you!
  8. Sorry to hear that you are having health issues @Kate18. Definitely hoping that it’s a virus that’s got you down. Take care of yourself and please keep us updated.
  9. Happy Birthday @jillar!
  10. Congratulations @Sunshine that first month is a doozy! Stay with us and keep close and before you know you’ll be celebrating your first year quit!
  11. I’m so sorry for your friend. Yes, we should all be very thankful we were able to conquer the Nicodemon and start living free from those chains.
  12. This is awesome news @nicotine_free! KTQ!
  13. YAY on one month quit!! You’re doing great!
  14. Congratulations on 6 years Boo! Thank you for helping me and others along the way!
  15. It has been statements such as this that brought me through the craviest of craves! When I discovered them I would read and reread each every one. I would hold it in my sight and in my mind and I would let the hope the words gave me hug me through my darkness until I was strong enough to step back into the light. I would not be where I am in my quit today without QuitTrain and her fine passengers—past and present!

  17. Congratulations @Steven Drojensky!
  18. You’re doing great Justin!
  19. You are doing great! I spent so much time on here. Reading what others had gone through is the only thing that kept me from believing that my mind had been completely broken. Deep breathing and drinking cold water helped ease the cravings for me.
  20. I’m looking forward to actually noticing and enjoying that spring has come this year. As my quit date was March 17th I hardly noticed anything but my suffering last spring. I was a mental wreck!
  21. Congratulations @KEL! 5 months quit is awesome! You’re doing great and you have become a real asset to this board!

About us

QuitTrain®, a quit smoking support community, was created by former smokers who have a deep desire to help people quit smoking and to help keep those quits intact.  This place should be a safe haven to escape the daily grind and focus on protecting our quits.  We don't believe that there is a "one size fits all" approach when it comes to quitting smoking.  Each of us has our own unique set of circumstances which contributes to how we go about quitting and more importantly, how we keep our quits.
